Living Area
You know the earth is three-fifths water. If you're one of those people who love the ocean, you'll think A Bit of Heaven is heaven. This beautiful beachfront vacation rental celebrates the ocean in every detail. Like the Pacific, it's large--more than 1500 square feet of comfort and beauty. From the custom-designed and etched mirrors with views of the rugged Depoe Bay coastline, to the pod of porpoise mirrors leading you to the ocean view framed by the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows, you'll be captivated by the majesty of the coast.
This is a place to relax, to really unwind, surrounded by the beauty and serenity of carefully chosen furnishings--chosen to be the perfect accompaniment to the awesome vista of the Pacific as it crashes on the rocks, right at your feet. The living area is comfortable. The river-rock gas fireplace adds warmth; even during the wildest storms that occassionally rage across the Pacific, you'll be able to watch in perfect comfort. The in-the-floor hot water heating system spreads warmth and comfort throughout your vacation home.
A Bit of Heaven is a one level, second floor oceanfront condo. It is served by two elevators. It is handicapped accessible; although there are no pull bars or other aids, there are no stairs or steps inside the property to hinder anyone with mobility issues.
The living area also features a 42-inch big screen TV with DVD/VCR, and a stereo system for your entertainment.
The real entertainment in this outstanding oceanfront condo is provided by the Pacific Ocean. The windows in the living area look out over the rocky coast less than a stones throw from where you sit. You'll spend many pleasurable hours watching whales, sea lions, seals, otter, pelicans, waves, and magnificent Pacific sunsets from the comfort of this beautiful room, where the view seems to extend forever.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The kitchen and dining area of this unusual getaway is one more of the many facets of this jewel. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you're likely to need for any meal preparation. The master bedroom suite is large and inviting. The king bed will have you feeling like you're sleeping on a cloud. The ceiling fan will add to your comfort. This romantic suite contains a jacuzzi tub for two in the bathroom. You'll have plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy all the extra details that are there for your enjoyment. The furnishings set a mood for romance and relaxation.
The second bedroom is also large and beautifully furnished. It also contains a king bed and other touches selected to be restful and comforting.
The third bedroom of this spacious vacation property contains a comfortable queen bed.

The Deck
Have we mentioned, A Bit of Heaven is an "Absolute Oceanfront" vacation getaway that sits on the rocks, just above the Pacific Ocean? Well, you'll forgive us for getting so excited about that once you experience the deck. The deck is large, with room for your entire group, sitting above a rock formation that creates spectacular effects as the waves crash onto them. No matter what the season or the weather, you'll be captivated by ever-changing play of the Pacific. Sometimes it's calm and glass-like. Other times the waves crash with an intensity that you can feel in your feet, throwing spray higher in the air than your second floor vantage point.
Depoe Bay is the "Whale Watching Capital" of the coast, and the whale watching from your deck is fantastic. Oft times, you'll be closer to the whales than the whale watching charter boats. In fact, the deck at A Bit of Heaven is so close to the ocean, you'll actually be able to hear the whales spout! It's an experience you may have at any time of year, because there is a large pod of whales that makes its home in Depoe Bay all year round.
If all this whale and wave watching (not to mention watching the sea lions, seals, otter, pelicans, and other sea birds) makes you hungry, you've come to the right place.
