Executive home on exclusive Scarborough Beach for vacation or executive stays. Scarborough Beach is a one-minute walk from the home down a path lined with bushes that flower in the summer. The beach is unique among southern Maine's sandy beaches; it is over a mile long and is free of development. Save one house in over a mile, there are no homes situated directly on the beach dunes. The beach and area are outstanding for swimming, walking, surfing, and boating. There are spectacular views of Stratton Island, Shooting Rocks, and Black Point.
Amenities include high speed internet and cable TV. The executive home is fully furnished with dishes, linens, and BBQ. The home sits adjacent to a beautiful wooded area deer and pheasant frequent.
The home is 20 minutes from Portland Jetport and Portland, and less than 2 hours from Boston. Activities in the area include the Old Port Area of Portland, which is known for its crafts, art and antique shops and good restaurants. Excellent public golf courses and tennis courts are nearby. For Winslow Homer afficionados, Homer's studio is a 15 minute bike ride away at Black Point. The Portland Museum of Art has an excellent Homer exhibit as well as other well known Maine artists. The twin light houses at Two Lights State Park, sought by artists and visitors, and a national bird sanctuary are biking distance.
