A fabulous oceanfront beach is a pleasant three to four minute walk along a private, shaded and board-walked path. Located in the private development of Beacon’s Reach, and overlooking one of the few marinas on the Crystal Coast, this one-level condo has a spectacular view of the Marina and Bogue Sound. As a guest in the community of Beacon’s Reach, you have private access to the beach, swimming pools and tennis courts, as well as to the boat ramp and marina. Beacon’s Reach was developed by the family of Theodore Roosevelt with his philosophy as their guide: “To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.” It is a special community that has preserved much of the maritime forest, and developed beautiful spacious grounds that are meticulously maintained.
Located on the lovely and secluded Intercoastal Waterway, the picturesque marina serves as a focal point. The views of the sound are peaceful, broken only by occasional fishing boats, sailboats, and those traveling the inlet. Long-legged herons stalk the marshes, pelicans dive recklessly, and a host of other graceful birds skim the surface and sun on pilings.
Within 2 miles are many of the best family seafood restaurants on the island, and seafood markets selling fresh catch. Also nearby, are amusement parks with miniature golf, go-cart racing, and wave-runner rentals.
Located between Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle, Beacons Reach is in the town of Pine Knoll Shores, site of the North Carolina Aquarium, and within a short drive of the historic seaport towns of Beaufort to the east, and Swansboro to the west. Both Beaufort and Swansboro have upscale restaurants and family dining restaurants on the waterfront, as well as specialty shops & antique shops. Beaufort is also home to the North Carolina Maritime Museum. On your way to Beaufort, you will pass the Morehead City Waterfront, which also boasts many restaurants, shops, fishing charters, and scuba charters.
