Peaceful and private, our newly renovated home offers you the perfect place to bring friends or family for an active, yet relaxing wine country get-away. In the Heart of the Sonoma Valley grape growing region, it is situated on sunny acreage with pastoral mountain views amidst vineyards, farms, and country homes. It features a heated pool, hot tub, bocce court, landscaped gardens, lots of room to congregate, and lots of room to spread out. Come play! Relax! Be rejuvenated!
The village of Kenwood (moments away) is located in the center of the wine country with many well known and boutique wineries at hand. It is just ten miles to historic Sonoma Square, ten miles to Santa Rosa, and a fifteen mile backroad drive to the heart of Napa Valley. And fantastic restaurants, from café to five-star, are in Kenwood and the neighboring village of Glen Ellen.
For Mountain Bikers, some of the best single-track biking in California is half mile from our driveway. The vacant winding country roads of the area beckon your road bike. Within a five-mile radius are three state parks offering outdoor recreation including biking, hiking, picnicking and swimming. Spa facilities are available nearby at the Kenwood Inn and Spa or Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa.
Our home offers lots of places for gathering. A warm gracious living room invites you to sit by the fire and play cards, read, or watch a movie. The more casual family room is off the patio and pool, and has a wood burning stove, lots of games, VCR/DVD, and kid toys. The large, gourmet kitchen allows several to happily cook and enjoy the company of their friends. It was appointed by a true cook and includes such touches as a professional range, granite counters, an espresso maker, and Calphalon cookware. The dining area seats eight, and a more casual café/game table is in the family room.
The main house includes a master bedroom with a king bed, with doors leading to the patio and hot tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There are two full baths in the main house (the master with double sinks and a large Jacuzzi tub).
Our spacious guest house/studio is just steps away and offers privacy for your visiting family or friends. It features a king bed, living area, mini-kitchen, full bath, and verandah.
Oh, and then there is the Outdoors. A heated, natural rock swimming pool; seven person therapeutic hot tub, informal patio dining for eight to ten, regulation bocce ball court, basketball, a trampoline with full safety net, and beautifully landscaped grounds with pastoral views on which to relax. At the barn you can establish a serious ping pong competition or pool tournament. And casual walks from our home will take you past vineyards, horses, and country homes.
