This property is located in the midst of Nova Scotia's famous South Shore, so you'll find it a tranquil base from which to explore a fascinating area of Nova Scotia. You're only one mile from Chester Basin village (groceries, drugstore, restaurant), eight miles from Chester (theatre, stores, Yacht Club and art and antique shops), and 45 minutes from the historic city of Halifax.

You can sail, kayak, swim, hike, walk, bike, surf, golf, fish, whale watch and explore hidden coves, tour Halifax, or just take the on-site canoe (with life jackets) for a spin.
There's a large fully equipped kitchen which includes an eating/sitting area accessible to a wrap-around deck. The large living room/dining room with hardwood floors has huge windows allowing great views of the sunset, wild ducks, herons, loons, ospreys, minks, rabbits and sailing yachts.
Special features include a JacuzziŽ, washer and dryer, microwave and dishwasher. There's a queen bed in the master bedroom and two single beds that can change to a king sized bed in the second bedroom.
Mahone Bay is home to 365 islands and is one of the most scenic and serene places you'll find. Come and enjoy.

 | Testimonials |
|
It was my first trip to Nova Scotia, so I'm
sure I'll always link my memories of staying there with the Nova Scotia experience, which I hope to have again and again. I'll never forget driving down the wooded driveway my first time, with Vivian in the back
asleep in her carseat, and getting my first look at the cottage. With the waters of the cove in the background, it all looked so welcoming, and relaxing, and the air smelled so pure I wanted to wake Vivian up and
tell her this is what air should smell like.
You and Ron were so hospitable, and everything about the cottage, from the line-dried bath towels to the gorgeous bay window in the living room, was a treat. What with the fabulous weather we had the entire
week, and the wonderful deck overlooking the water, we got to live as if the indoors and outdoors were one, instead of as separate as they feel in an apartment in New York City, where we live most of the year. I
could have stayed at the cottage the whole time, walking through the woods, paddling around in the canoe, lazing around on the deck and watching the sunset in the
evening, but you made it so easy to explore the area, so we did that too. The folk festival in Lunenberg was fun, but the beaches were sublime. I just wish we'd had more time there, so I hope we'll be back
some day.
Fondly,
Rebecca
