One hundred yards from the Caribbean and 50 minutes from San Juan, in a gated, safe resort - a beautifully decorated 2,000 square foot, 4-bedroom, air conditioned, condo with 2 patios, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms, TV and stereo, washer & dryer, facing Caribbean and golf course. The condo sleeps up to 10 adults plus 2 babies with 1 king bed, 6 twin beds, and 1 inflatable queen air mattress + 2 cribs.
Located in front of a 3-mile private beach and beautiful condo association swimming pool in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico, southeastern Puerto Rico, 50 minutes by major highways from San Juan and San Juan airport. Maid service and baby sitting available. Casinos in the complex.
Palmas del Mar is a gated 3,500 acre Caribbean resort, with casino, 10 restaurants, grocery stores, 25 tennis courts and tennis instruction program at every level, 2 golf courses, horseback riding at major equitation center and extensive beautiful trails and riding on the beach, bike riding and beautiful bike riding trails, large marina on property with sailing, snorkeling and scuba all available.
Plamas del Mar is a great place to really relax, but with a Sheraton Hotel and casino on the property and under an hour to San Juan for night life. The people are friendly, the food is good (Chez Daniel is one of our favorite French restaurants anywhere), the beach is huge and beautiful and on the Caribbean side of Puerto Rico.

Policies
There is a check-out cleaning fee of $75. Certain pets allowed - please inquire. Check in and check out time is flexible, depending on your shcedule and availability. A $500 security deposit per week is required for all rentals.
Deposits
There is a $500 deposit to reserve the condo for one week. Full deposit must be received promptly after you book the condo. We will not consider the reservation firm until your check is received and, if not a certified or bank ceck, until it has cleared at the bank. The balance is due one month prior to arrival date. Sorry, no credit cards are accepted.
Refunds
There are no refunds.

Palmas del Mar is beautifully landscaped, and a real tropical paradise to swim, walk, jog, bike (rentals available), golf, sail, play tennis (hard and hard true courts), learn tennis (our favorite tennis pros anywhere), horseback ride (beautiful trails and, if you ride, you will love cantering down a beach), take a snorkel trip to Monkey Island (under an hour by boat) where the snorkeling is good and the monkeys fun to see, restaurants from pizza shop to Chez Daniel (a relaxed and excellent French restaurant on a lovely marina) on the property, two fine golf courses and privileges at a beach club with nice lunch facilities, large pool, lap pool and kiddy pool and a water park (water slide and other fun). Our housekeeper of many years (who, if you want, will supply you with groceries at your cost) looks after the place and will help you settle in. She can also baby sit for you.
Most important to us, it is simply the best place anywhere to relax. We recently bought another condo near the one we are renting. We have used the one we are offering to you as our home away from home for many years. We live in New York City, have traveled to more than 80 countries and, even so, our favorite place is Palmas del Mar. We hope you will love it too.

San Juan is under an hour away. Old San Juan is charming, El Junque is a tropical rain forest also about an hour away. Camuy Caves, Culebra and Vieques Islands are each interesting day trips from Palmas del Mar. But once you get to Palmas, we predict you will never want to leave !

As I am sitting here looking out our window at home and seeing snow, we dream of being back in PR.
First off I want to thank Joanne for suggesting the Palmas resort and your place and recommending Vieques for a side trip. We have excellent memories of the Palmas horse back riding, picnic lunch and hiking in the rain forest, the kids 9th birthday party at the Beach Club, playing tennis, treasure hunting, the old fort in San Juan, the beautiful visit to Vieques, etc.
