Come and spend time in our beautiful antique Cape, specially prepared for your family’s summer holiday. Centrally located along Old King's Highway (6A) in Brewster, this historic home is on the National Register of Historic Places (the main house -- available for rent -- having been built around 1840) and is a great place to relax and enjoy the summer away from the usual crowds. Past guests have commented on how quiet the house is on summer evenings, and access to the rental portion of the property is via Doran Drive, off of 6A.
The house features bright, natural lighting and comfy furnishings in living and sitting rooms provide plenty of space to curl up with a book or play games/activities provided. Sleeping arrangements include two upstairs bedrooms--1 queen, 1 king with daybed (king can be split into 2 twins upon request), downstairs bunkroom designed specially for young people sleeps up to 4, and daybed/pop-up trundle sleeps 2. Cooks will delight in the updated and fully equipped kitchen, while family and friends gather round the dining table with service for 12.
You may choose to relax in the large private back yard or enjoy a meal at the picnic tables. During your stay in Brewster, visit the town's numerous galleries and antique shops, beautiful beaches, swimming ponds and hiking trails, Nickerson State Park, Brewster’s historic Ladies Library and General Store, and a variety of great restaurants.
Brewster Summer House is just a short walk to the Lemon Tree Shops, cafes, artist studios, and antique shops, with one-of-a-kind Wisteria Antiques right next door. You can grab a bite at Kate’s seafood shack and ice-cream shop on the way to family friendly Paines Creek Beach, a quick ½ mile walk from the house.
