At Karagatan you'll relax to the sounds of the ocean waves and the birds that nest in the Redwoods high above the deck and hot tub. Enjoy the panoramic ocean views from the deck, dining room and master bedroom. Frolick on the pristine ten mile beach across the road.Savor your dinner in the formal dining room, or in front of the fire in the cozy, warm living room. Everything is provided, from luxurious bedding to brand new kitchen utensils for making your own meals. Or, explore the fabulous cuisine of Mendocino County in nearby towns both north and south!

Nearby Towns...
POINT ARENA is five minutes south and is one of California's smallest cities and is a California State historical district. The Main Street Point Arena has restaurants, shops, library, and other stores. The Arena Cover area features the pier, lodging, restaurants and shops that over look the Pacific Ocean.
MANCHESTER is just a short drive south and has the nearest grocery store. Entrance to the Manchester State Beach is located near the town. The area is rich grazing lands with flocks of sheep and herds of cattle.
GUALALA, pronounced "gwa-LA-la" or by the locals as "wa-LA-la" is 20 minutes south. Restaurants, shops and gift stores line the small town. The resort of Sea Ranch is nearby.
ELK. The quaint town of Elk is ten minutes north. Cafes, restaurants, gift stores line this small, but colorful town.
Point Arena Lighthouse
Located just 10 minutes south stands the Point Arena Lighthouse. Originally constructed in 1870 and rebuilt in 1908, the 115 foot features a 1st Order Fresnel Lens. The lens is over six feet in diameter and weighs more than six tons. The Lighthouse is now a museum and tours to the top of the Lighthouse are offered. The local museum docents have wonderful stories of the area and the gift shop offer unique souvenirs and gift. The Lighthouse and grounds can be rented for weddings and other special events. Don't miss the basking sea lions on the road to the Lighthouse.
