ROOMS
The west bohio is the master bed and bath with a queen size bed. The east bohio is a guest house with two separate bedrooms each with a private bath. One room has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds which convert to a king size bed, depending on the guests wishes. The rooms can be converted to a single suite by opening a sliding door between them. All bedrooms come with robes and slippers, which can be purchased as souvenirs from the house manager when you leave. There are showers in every bath and an outdoor shower for every bedroom, which can be lovely when returning from the beach.

INTERNET
There is a satellite transceiver providing high speed internet access on "wifi" wireless local network for those who do not want to leave their work behind. Guests can use this wifi if they have a linksys wireless modem on their laptop, or just use the network box. Please ask the house manager for instructions.
TELEPHONE
Vieques uses the U.S. phone system so "800" numbers work and U.S. long distance charges which visitors incur are charged at 10 cents per minute. There are multiple phone lines
CELL PHONE
Most cell phones work well on the island.
TV/DVD/CD/STEREO
Two TV's, one with DVD and one with VCR and a collection of movies for both. Also a portable stereo for CD's and Cassette Tapes and an assortment of music to play.
TIMEZONE
The time zone is Atlantic Standard Time, which is the same as Eastern Daylight Savings time in the summer and one hour ahead in the winter.
ELECTRICITY
110 volts 60 hz.
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE
Daytime highs are in the low 90's summer and high 80's in the winter, but the humidity is low so it is very comfortable in the shade. Night-time lows are mid 70's and comfortable for outdoor dining.
AIR CONDITION
AC is not necessary, in fact it would be incompatible with the Los Bohios design to feel inside and outside at once.
FACILITIES
There is a very modern and well equipped kitchen with gas range, ice maker in the refrigerator, dish washer, coffee maker, blender, toaster. There is also a gas BBQ.
LAUNDRY
Los Bohios is equipped with a washer and a dryer. There is also a service which will pick up and deliver laundry and do ironing.
POOL
The pool comes right up to the central bohio, has a path through it linking the east and west bohios, has shallow area for lounging and 4 1/2 foot deep for swimming. End to end it is almost 40 feet. It is lit beautifully at night. Families with young children have found our shallow lounge area of the pool to be a perfect kiddie pool.

CLEANING/MAID
Los Bohios will be clean and beds prepared upon your arrival. If you would like cleaning during your stay, that can be arranged before your arrival.
HOSPITAL
The hospital is on the main road connecting Esperanza and Isabel II. Med-Evac helicopter service is available to San Juan hospitals when necessary.
BEACHES
The island is ringed with beaches. It is a nice half mile walk to a nearby beach from which you can walk forever; the spectacular beach at Sun Bay is two miles away.
DISTANCES
The north side of the island has the airport, the bank with an ATM, the US Post Office, pharmacies, and major grocery stores in and around Isabel Segunda. This is a 20 minute drive from Los Bohios. Los Bohios is on the south side of the island, just west of Esperanza, which has small shops for vacation items like beach gear, resort wear, local produce, basic food supplies, and a small museum.
CAR RENTAL
It is wonderful to have a car, in order to easily enjoy the sights of the island. If for some reason you do not wish to rent a car, arrangements can be made for a local taxi to take you to beaches and restaurants. There are lovely walks from Los Bohios to the village of Esperanza, the beach and the hillsides. Bike rental is available and delivery of groceries can be arranged.
TAXI
Taxi's are called "publicos" and can take you anywhere you would like to visit. They can be arranged for by phone.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need a passport to fly to Puerto Rico or Vieques.

Vieques is a small island 6 miles east of Puerto Rico in the Spanish Virgin Islands. It is considered an unspoiled treasure. The waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea converge at the island's western coast and the the island marks the southermost point of the Bermuda Triangle. The islands of St. Croix, St.Thomas, and Culebra are visible to the south, east, and north.
