THE HOUSE
Welcome! This warm and charming home in the heart of the Luberon mountain range makes you feel instantly happy, relaxed and pampered. Located on the edge of a majestic hillside that rises out of the gorgeous village below, the "Maison Jardin" will treat you to a stunning swimming pool with unforgettable views, a garden patio, and an attractive interior decorated with antique touches.
With its two bedrooms, two baths, and roomy indoor-outdoor living spaces, the "Maison Jardin" is the ideal spot for a family who want to vacation in the heart of Provence, or two couples sharing. The private residential street that leads to its door provides access to a friendly village. But it also ensures the calm and peacefulness that make the Luberon synonymous with a country getaway.
French-windows in both bedrooms, equipped with Queen-sized beds, open onto lush mountain scenery, while the floor-to-ceiling doors in the salon lead to a beautifully landscaped private garden, partially shaded and perfect for outdoor dining.
Guests of the house enjoy shared use during the daytime of a magnificent swimming pool and beautiful private gardens at the top of the property, overlooking the village and providing panoramic 360o views across the Luberon Valley.
The house has a fully equipped modern kitchen with brand-new appliances that is built into the natural stone of the hillside and nestles beneath an exposed limestone overhang.
The roomy, Provencal interior of the indoor living space is decorated in the colors of the countryside - burgundy, ochre, olive and sea blue. The quality furnishings provide a comfortable setting for catching up on reading, chatting with friends, or just a luxurious nap. A working stone fireplace stays the winter chill, while access to the adjacent summit pool with its 360-degree views provides refreshment on those warm summer days.
THE LOCATION
Experience true provencal living a vacation for the body and soul in the heart of provence Menerbes is considered one of the most charming small hilltop villages of the Luberon Natural Park in Provence just a 60 min. drive from Avignon. A haven for artists, writers and anyone interested in getting a taste of real Provental living.
Daily village markets filled with the colours and aromas of the region. Country roads winding through vineyards, lavender and sunflower fields with ancient farmhouses, abbeys and churches surprising you at every turn all bathed in a quality of light that has inspired artists over centuries. You can even drive over a bridge on the way to nearby Apt that was built by the Romans over 2.000 years ago!
Some of the most famous and picturesque villages of Proven?e are but a short drive away. Explore Lacoste, Gordes, Bonniuex, Rousillon, Lourmarin and Mont Ventoux. Even St. Remy, Aix, N'mes, Arles, the Camargue, Monte Carlo and the Cote d'Azur are easy day trips from Menerbes.
Whether you enjoy walking, cycling or motoring there is always an exciting experience nearby. You can or explore the hundreds of antique shops in France, the antique capital on Isle-sur-Sorgue, or take a canoe trip down the river. Half a dozen excellent golf courses and tennis courts invite you to test your game surrounded by the most spectacular landscapes. Try hot air ballooning; join the fun of bustling village fetes or attend the music and theatre festivals of Avignon. It's all within easy reach.
Good food and wine are essential to the French. You can feast in hundreds of little bistros and refined restaurants in the nearby villages, or just walk down the road and enjoy the four quaint restaurants in Menerbes itself. Then again, you might prefer packing your own picnic basket from the wonderful fresh delicacies offered at any of the daily village markets! Pick your favourite wine from any of the dozens of vineyards in the Luberon or nearby Rhone valleys.
English speaking local guides or hosts are available. They can help you in everything: from walks in the surrounding countryside, to planning day tours and make reservations. They are experienced adventure hunters? that can assist you in finding that very special little antique or show you how to prepare a true Proven?al meal in your own kitchen. They can also introduce you to fitness programs like Taebo and Yoga, or help you find the right art instructor to channel your inspiration. Their knowledge of the area, its wonderful friendly people and their customs, can enrich your Proven?al holiday and make it the experience of a lifetime.
The house has a living room with working fire place and equipped kitchen with rock overhang; it has two tall doors leading ounto the garden for alfresco dining. Just up a short flight of stairs are two charming bedrooms with huge french windows looking out to the Luberon range; one with shower and the other with a bath. The house is filled with sunlight and colorful touches and some wonderful antiques.

The salon/dining area features 15-foot high ceilings with wooden beams, marble floors, and working, stone fireplace. Leather chairs and comfortable couch provide a charming spot for lounging, while art deco doors open onto the garden with river-washed stone mosaics, herb patch, fruit trees, and lavender. Stairs climb out of the back of the garden up to the romantic pool/patio area with loungers, tables, and a 360-degree view of the countryside and village. Shade trees and plantings combine with 19th-century stonework to create natural alcoves for reading and dreaming. The kids can even set up a tent!
Inside the house, the kitchen with garden access and stone overhang is full of brand-new quality appliances: 2-door frig, washing machine and dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, four-burner gas-top range and electric oven, restaurant faucet, and all the pots and pans necessary to create a lovely dinner. Hand-painted provencal dishes, with service for eight, peak out of an antique cupboard.
The cozy bedrooms with queen-sized beds feature traditional wall fabrics, and antique tables and desk. Each has a private bathroom, one with a shower and one with a bathtub/shower combination, and a view of the pristine Luberon mountain range.

Use of the 360 roof top garden with beautiful pool from 10am- 6pm. Extraordinary views of the valleys, mountains and the village roof tops! One parking place is available just opposite the entrance in the private parking space of the house. Stone's throw from the village center (one minute's walk) Village has 2 boulangeries, a boucherie, an epicerie, a pharmacy, post office, travel agency, provencal boutiques ,cafes, and 4 restaurants and one ecclectic antique shop, not to be missed along with the wine and truuffle house at the place de la Maire.
