Finding an apartment this size in Florence’s historic center with a roof
deck overlooking the Duomo and a bathroom for each of its four bedrooms is a rare find indeed.
Get out your city map and let’s pinpoint its location. Brunelleschi is 500
yards north of Piazza Santa Croce, 800 yards from the Duomo and under
a mile heading straight down the street from Piazza della Repubblica. It
occupies the upper two floors of a five story building with an elevator.
However, 15 steps are required to reach the entrance and to move
internally between floors. Most of the windows overlook the rooftops of
Florence with Fiesole’s hills in the background. The kitchen and one top
floor bedroom have views of the Duomo and Giotto’s bell tower.
This newly renovated apartment is fully air conditioned and comes with
screened bedroom windows, beautiful hardwood floors, carefully chosen
antiques and a washing machine. Maid service may be requested when
booking.
On the ground floor is a supermarket, open daily until 9 pm. Restaurants,
pizzerie and cafés are all around. The Ciompi outdoor market is a mere
20 yards away with antiques, restoration shops and artists. Each stand
specializes in an old world craft: lamps, furniture, ceramics and more. It’s
open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 to 7 pm. On
the last Sunday of the month the market swells to three times its size!
The train station, a mile away, is serviced by a bus stop within 50 yards.
Being in a restricted traffic zone, Brunelleschi is best reached by foot or
cab. The nearest parking is 200 yards away.

room with TV and CD player. Eat-in kitchen for four with stove top, oven,
microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Two bedrooms each with a queen size

Fifth floor: Two bedrooms each with two single, joinable beds and en
suite bathroom with shower, one with washing machine and door to
furnished, panoramic roof terrace.

Nearest shopping and dining - Being in the heart of Florence, you are
surrounded by restaurants, pizzerie and cafes. A supermarket located on
the ground floor of your building is open daily to 9pm.
Not to be missed - Ciompi Market; 20 yards away; A flea market in the
Santa Croce quarter, which is full of antique shops, artists, restoration.
Each market stand specializes in a craft, such as: wood furniture,
ceramics, lamps and other decorative items. Open Monday - Saturday
from 10-1 and 3-7, with the last Sunday of the month being triple in
size.
Public transportation - The closest main train station with service to
Rome, Milan, Bologna, Napoli, Torino and Genova is within one mile. A
bus stop 50 yards away services the train station.
Within walking distance: The Duomo, located 800 yards away, houses
several important works of art. Piazza Signoria, The Ponte Vecchio, and
the Uffizi Gallery are all within half a mile. The Galleria dell'Accademia,
just over a mile away, features Michelangelo's “David”.
Golf - Golf Club Ugolino is within an 18 minute drive. Open year round.
