Beautiful Douglas Lake extends it's 33,000 lake acres and 513 miles of shoreline to the rolling hills of the Great Smoky Mountains, attracting nearly 2 million visitors each year. Favorite activities at Douglas Lake include fishing, boating, rafting, swimming, camping, and bird watching. Just around the corner in nearby communities like Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, the parkway provides a bounty of family attractions, dinner shows and amusement parks for everyone's daytime or nighttime entertainment. Golf, thrill rides, indoor skydiving, race cars, and the list goes on.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park boundary is only a short drive away, and offers you an abundance of activities. Hike through times past in historical Cade's Cove, or venture a few miles in and experience the beauty of Laurel Falls. In every season, the Smokies boast a harmonious combination of man, wilderness and foliage.
Relax in your private lakefront cabin and enjoy the natural attractions that the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer.
Each Fall the Smokies come alive with the colors of harvest. Bright reds, gold, and rich burgundies illuminate the horizon and lavish the mountain sides. The fresh autumn air, and enriching arts and crafts fairs, make fall a must see season in the mountains of east Tennessee.
The celebration of Winter is top notch in the Smokies with Parades, Millions of twinkling lights, and holiday festivities surrounding you. Additionally, the naturally sloping Smoky Mountain landscape lends itself to everyone's favorite winter sports; alpine skiing, snow boarding, and sledding.
Springtime, is when the Smokies truly come alive. Bursting with brilliant colors, newly emerged flora, and bustling with tourists. Our springtime climate is favorable to outdoor activities, and often is the ideal time for weddings in the Smokies, the Honeymoon Capital!!
Hot Summer days, mean a cool summers eve at your lake front retreat. Keep yourself busy during the day jet skiing on the lake, picnicking on your personal island, or simply relaxing in your rocking chair on the porch, sipping home made lemonade. Get away from it all!!
