New private holiday home owned by New Zealand couple; on beachfront section. Fully equipped home with all necessary household items and utensils. Kitchen and spacious lounge leads out to 6m x 9m thatched roof covered (native style) deck. Over 400 books of excellent holiday reading (English language) 2 Double BR (Queen size beds) each with ensuite and air conditioning. We regret that we are unwilling to rent to children. Adults only (over 19) and minimum stay period of 5 nights. For the exclusive use of the holidaymaker is a Nissan Navara twin cab diesel motor vehicle for island sightseeing. You only pay running costs (Diesel/oil) The motor vehicle is included in the hire rate. You definitely need a vehicle on this island. One does not want to be walking miles in the tropical heat to go to and from a restaurant and you cant walk to to the waterfalls and beach walk as they are 25 kilometers away. The main village where we do our shopping is 12 kilometers away.

The house is completely fitted out for a relaxing no worries holiday. You need bring nothing more than swimwear.
Taveuni is known as the garden island of Fiji and is a magnificent unspoiled paradise.
Amenities:
Each double bedroom is air conditioned for comfortable sleep. Queen size beds, bathroom off each bedroom, linen and towels etc. New fully equipped kitchen with gas stove. Electric fridge/freezer. Power is by private generator started by remote control within house. Stereo/CD player with some CD's. Bring your own favorites. All kitchen utensils, crockery, pots pans etc are supplied. Walk in walk out. New washing machine for laundry. Bring nothing but a smile and your swimwear. 4 recommended restaurants within 2 kilometers (2 of these within 500 metres (yards). The beach in front of our house is white sand and the water crystal clear. Our neighbors operate the local dive shop. Taveuni is world famous for its diving. The magnificent Bouma Waterfalls are approximately 25k's away. The main village for shopping 10k's.

Sunbathing, Swimming, Snorkeling (abundant small coral fish in the inner reef) very safe beach. I have an excellent library of good holiday reading (about 400 books) from popular authors to travel to contemporary literature. All have been read by myself and are a good read. The Nissan enables you to explore the island and take in the lovely sights and nature walks. Swim in the streams and waterfalls. The bird life is unique to Taveuni. Unfortunately Robert our boatman has had a second stroke so the fishing boat is no longer available. There is a housekeeper employed who will clean the house twice a week while you are there i.e. sweep out, freshen the flowers. Remember that this is a private home, not a hotel so we would expect you to treat the property like your own. Please keep house tidy, make you beds, keep kitchen clean etc.

The family even saw us off at the airport Pick-up: Having the truck was fantastic. We made two trips to the Bouma Falls, one trip to Waitabu village to snorkel, as well as numerous trips to SomoSomo for shopping. Boat: Brilliant! We loved having the ability to hand line fish as well as deep sea fish. We caught Tuna (skip-jack), and hand lined a Green Job fish and some kind of yellow fish. We were in heaven! We would highly recommend your vacation home to anyone we know. In fact, we are selling it to anyone who will listen... We would also like to come back to your vacation home perhaps next year. Rarely do we re-visit a vacation location and home twice, however, your home and the island was so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you again for everything! Area:
We are 2 kilometers from the local general store that is fully stocked with all the provisions that you might need except for beer and wine. For this you need to drive to the main village at Somosomo about 10 kilometers away. The drive is along a lovely picturesque coast road. The village has about 8 Shops and is a thriving little market place. Food prices are comparable to NZ and Australia. The Fiji dollar is about the same value as the NZ dollar.
