Come enjoy our beautiful beach and killer waves. We have several fun breaks just down the street. The vibe here in Playa Grande is a chill "Tranquilla". Just north of the Tamarindo estuary inside the Las Baulas National Park, Home to Leatherback Turtles, Howler Monkeys, Giant Iguanas, Exotic Birds and many more wildlife species... Our budget cabinas are clean and safe with private hot water shower-bathrooms, air conditioning and ceiling fans too. We are centrally located and just a short walk to the beach. We have maid and laundry services. Enjoy lounge areas, cable TV, backgammon and poker games.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner "made to order"... How does French toast, fruit smoothies, and fine Costa Rica coffee sound? Not just a surf camp bed-breakfast. Coming soon is "Big Mama's" restaurante with her own brick oven for savory Bar-B-Q, artisan breads, and pastas too! Wholesome, tasty and reasonably priced... Want to mix it up? "Fusion Cuisine" next door, “Kike’s” across the street, or Rip Jack's a short walk away...
We can help with your special activity, travel and transportation arrangements... A full service surf shop with board rentals, lessons, etc. is available next door. Learn to surf school packages are affordable. You can take home professional "vacation pictures" of you in the water too. Just tell us what you want and we’ll hook you up...
Lively Tamarindo is closeby either way you go... about a 35 minute walk down the beach, or a 5 minute drive to a waiting boat taxi, or just taxi around the estuary in about 20 minutes. You’ll find open air markets, health spas, art galleries, craft shops, sport fishing, sailing, golf, scuba diving, horseback riding, canopy tours and more by day... over 40 bars, restaurants, nite-clubs, casinos, and the “endless summer” party by night...

Naturally bringing your own board is best - ideally an "all rounder" surfboard suitable for 2 - 12 foot faces. Bring an extra leash too. If renting in Costa Rica? No Worries! There is a full service Surfing Shop next door.

Required Shots:
Specific immunizations are not required for entry into Costa Rica. Use common sense in immunization decisions and seek advice from your doctor. The following is list of relevant vaccinations:
Tetanus: Required booster within the last 10 years.
Hepatitis vaccination: We recommend that you get Hepatitis A & B vaccination.
All routine vaccines: Required to be up to date with: DTP or Td, Hib, MMR, Chickenpox, Influenza and Pneumococcal.
Speak to your health care professional about Malaria tablets. Use your own best judgment.
