This is a 'sugar shack' cottage of the old cane days but refurbished with luxury bathroom, bamboo floors and remodelled kitchen. All this in a delightful garden setting! This is a new listing so you can be one of the first to enjoy our 'sugar shack'.
This cottage is only 15 minutes drive to the Hilo airport. Stay close to town and enjoy a stroll to our lively and unique farmer's market or a cafe for lunch or dinner. Balmy trade wind breezes makes it pleasant to be only 3 blocks from the bay. There are two cinemas in town and many restaurants to choose from so your vacation doesn't have to mean a lot of time spent in the car.
You'll love the bright flowers for sale at the market. With fresh produce at your doorstep, you can enjoy the seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables and you're sure to taste something delicious that you've never tried before!.
Art lovers will love to explore Hilo. Many local crafts are sold at our Farmer's Market and in specialty gift stores. This is a friendly community and you can be sure to enjoy talking to local people and browsing in the small museums, arts centers and galleries that Hilo has to offer. Our brand new 'Imaloa' Planetarium and Astronomy Center draws visitors to learn more about the skies of Hawaii.
You are a bike ride or a short drive from some very beautiful beaches and lagoons perfect for snorkelling, swimming. Our 'Honolii' is just 15 minutes away and offers beginners and experienced surfers a chance to catch some Hawaii waves. Make this your base for some other adventures to be found in East Hawaii.
The attractions of the Volcano National Park, black sand beaches and a natural geo-thermal pool are an hours drive or less from this downtown location. Another unforgettable experience is to see a sunset from near the summit of Mona Loa, the site of the observatory and the highest point on the island.
Our cottage is equipped with a gentle retreat in mind. There's a deckchair on our porch that catches morning sun. You'll find guidebooks and a selection of hawaiian literature for the curious traveller. We provide a stereo, TV and DVD player as well as some movies for a relaxing afternoon or evening. We offer wireless access also for those who travel with a laptop.

Jan-Dec .. $80/night for 2 people - $450/week -$1600/month. add 11.25%tax
$20 per additional person per night. You may reserve the booking by paying 75% of
total (inc tax) and then pay the balance 30 days prior to your stay. If you cancel
before 30 days, we can refund total (less $80 handling fee).
$200 Security Deposit is taken with a credit card when guests check in.
Security deposit returned when keys returned and inventory taken.
Check in is at 3pm and Check out is at 12pm unless by arrangement.
No cleaning fee charged but costs are deducted if villa is unreasonably dirty
