Welcome to Sailor's Rest, the perfect refuge from a hard life at sea or commuting down the city's asphalt rivers right here in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario Canada.
Sailor's Rest is a newly renovated and fully appointed cottage, just steps from the river and an easy stroll to downtown historic Niagara on the Lake. Accommodations are available by the week or by exception, for full weekends.
If you are looking for a quiet intimate week away, or a week-long "home-away-from home" vacation for your whole family, Sailor's Rest sits by the Niagara River where generations of sailors and fishermen have come home to tell tall tales of adventure on Lake Ontario.

Weekly Rate $1495
Weekend rates on request
* Bookings are normally weekly. Some weekend bookings are available, usually off season.
* Check-in Time is 5pm
* Check-out Time is 10am
Weekly rentals: 50% deposit is required upon booking, balance before arrival.
Deposit refunded in full less an administration charge of 10% if cancellation is given in writing no later than 60 days prior to scheduled arrival.
VISA or cash accepted
Group or Company Packages can be arranged to include dinner reservations, qualified babysitting, bike rentals, attraction and theatre purchases.
Can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults

Directions to The Sailor's Rest
From Toronto, Ontario Canada:
Take Gardiner Expressway West to Queen Elizabeth Way – QEW (Hamilton/Niagara) or Hwy. 401 West to Hwy. 403 to QEW.
Follow the QEW all the way around the lake.
Just after you come off of the St. Catharines Skyway Bridge, you will see Exit Niagara Stone Road
(Be careful, there is an Exit 38A Glendale just before it that you should NOT take.)
The Niagara Stone Road exit takes you around onto Northbound Glendale – stay on this until it ends at York Road and turn left.
Follow York Road until you get to the first set of lights and turn right onto Airport Road. At the end of Airport Road, turn right onto Hwy. 55 (also known as Niagara Stone Road) and proceed until it ends at Queen Street (approximately 13 kms).
Turn right on Queen Street. This will take you through the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Just past the Clock Tower, turn left onto King Street and drive towards the river
King Street bends to the right and turns into Delater Street when you get to the river. Sailor's Rest is about 50 meters from the bend, on the left hand (river) side.
From Buffalo, New York, U.S.A.:
Follow the I-190 N (I-190 ends at the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge). Once past the customs booth get into the right lane to pay the bridge toll.
Immediately after the toll (approx. 20 ft), make a right turn followed by a left turn at the stop sign and then the next right.
Follow the Niagara River Parkway, (Niagara River is along the right side), all the way into downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake (approximately 8 km of long winding road) arriving on the main street of town.
At the second four way stop (and just before the clock tower) turn right onto King Street towards the river.
King Street bends to the right and turns into Delater Street when you get to the river. Sailor's Rest is about 50 meters from the bend, on the left hand (river) side.

Sailor's Rest Cottage
Sailor's Rest Cottage is a newly renovated cottage in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake's Dock Area. Once a thriving fishing village, and now a center of sailing and recreation, the area features passive parks with riverfront access.
It is comfortably located in a quiet village community that nonetheless provides easy walking access most Town features, including
2 blocks from the marina
3 blocks from the clock tower and main street, including bank, liquor store, restaurants, grocery store, and post office
3 blocks from the Shaw
The quaint cottage is cozy and comfortable, with a large living room ("great room") with large, bright windows looking out onto the passive parkland and Niagara River.
The wood fireplace instantly brings warmth and a cheerful coziness to the living area, warm pine floors and a galley style kitchen immediately off the great room fosters comfort and intimacy for up to six guests.
The Master and Commander's bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom features warm pine floors, ceiling fan and private entrance.
The Crow's-Nest bedroom, up the ship's ladder, provides a fabulous morning sunrise view and features a queen sized futon bed with a huge comfortable duvet and cozy, comfy sleeping arrangements that are also very kid friendly.
The double doors off the great room lead lead to a large deck with gas barbeque and a then directly into the passive park and steps to the river.
