Chansons d’la Mer is a three bedroom, three bath villa
located in the very private, very quiet – and very beautiful – area known as Domaine de Mont Jean. The villa is entirely surrounded by sea, sky, mountains and gardens.
The villa and its pool, spa, terrace and deck are perched 190’ directly above the Atlantic Ocean; the breathtaking seascape seems to go on forever.
There are extensive outdoor living areas, terraces and sun decks all set within beautiful flowering gardens with truly stunning vistas over the sea.
In fact, St. Maarten and Anguilla are easily visible on the distant horizon even though they are 20 to 25 miles away. The evening lights from these islands are particularly attractive focal points in an otherwise dark sea.
Domaine Mont Jean is a gated community of just 21 villas located on a peninsula thus affording water views to the east, north and – in particular – to the west.
Mont Jean is blessed – and cooled – by the easterly trade winds and is one of the two or three most prestigious locals on the island.
Homes in the community have private direct access to the beach at Marigot. The pathway to the beach is directly across from the villa’s driveway.
The villa is truly private and truly quiet. Only one other villa in Mont Jean is noticeably in view and that one is to the south, towards the mountains. All of the others are as out of sight as they are out of mind.

Honeymoon & Anniversary specials include a romantic candlelight dinner for two prepared by an expert French chef & served at the villa with complimentary wines and champagne. Chansons d’la Mer is available as a one, two or three bedroom rental. The minimum stay is normally one week but is a minimum of two weeks over Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.

Decorated in white and blue with 4-poster bed. Magnificent Ocean View. Opens to ocean.
Bedroom 2 - Air Conditioning, Ensuite Bath, King Size Bed, Mosquito Netting Decorated in soft white and blue with 4-poster bed. Sliding doors to deck. Opens to flower gardens with view of the mountains.
Bedroom 3 - Air Conditioning, Ensuite Bath, Orthopedic twins that are pushed together. Decorated in white and yellow. Opens to flower gardens with a view of the mountains.
Dining Room - Two dining areas. One inside as part of the sea side dining room. A second dining area outside on the covered terrace. Each dining area has magnificent views of the ocean, offshore islands, the cliffs of Point Milou and the cliff-side flower gardens of the villa itself.
Kitchen - Blender, Coffee Maker, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Kitchen has views of the gardens, mountains and ocean.
Living Room - Airy living room with white and blue fabrics. Opening to a simply magnificent seascape view. US Satellite/ TV.
Pool - Medium size pool perched directly on the side of the cliffs, 190 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Pool has easy entrance steps and large deck area.
Terrace - Terraces surround the villa. There is a large terrace in front of the villa; part open; part with shade. A side terrace does have shade as does a new teak deck by the pool. Rear terrace also has an adjustable shade awning. There is an open sun deck between the cliff side pool and the cliff side garden.

I can go on and on singing St. Barth's praises but all it does is make me want to drop everything and go back even though it's only a few days since we left.
