The views from Wave Song are wonderful. You look out onto the ocean, just a few yards from your deck. From sunrise to sunset you'll be captivated by the ocean. Sometimes it's calm, a quiet sound like background music. Other times, storms roll in with the towering and crashing waves that make this part of the coast one of the nation's favorites. You can view it all from the comfortable warmth in front of Wave Song's fireplace.
Depoe Bay is the "Whale Watching Capital" of the coast, and you may see whales at all times of the year. There is a pod that makes its home in Depoe Bay , in addition to migrating whales "just passing through." You may see whales singly or in pods, and often very close up; they sometimes come within five or ten feet of the rocky water's edge! Often, they are so close you can hear them spout.
There is other sea life to entertain you. Hundreds of birds, of many types, will entertain you, as will the many sea lions, seals, and otter that seem to love the water in front of Wave Song.
Boats large and small, from fishing boats and whale watching charters, to Coast Guard vessels practicing rescues with helicopters, come and go all day, and at night, the lights from crab boats burn like campfires in the desert.
In the evening, the sunsets are something to write home about, with vibrant colors and effects from the clouds you just don't get from further inland. Watching the sun set, and disappear over the edge of the earth is something that will have you looking forward to each evening.
At night, the stars will delight you and the moon reflecting off the ocean waves will be a memory you will cherish.
And all of this you will see from the living area and master bedroom of Wave Song.
The living room of Wave Song is spacious and comfortable. Whether for a romantic getaway for two or for up to four persons, the beautiful furnishings and the warmth of the river-rock gas fireplace combine to make this a restful room with a feeling of intimacy. This is a room for heartfelt conversation, total relaxation, and hours of enjoyment. And the ocean view will thrill you.
The fully-furnished kitchen is a delight. Light and airy, it shares the spectacular ocean view. The appliances include a gas range, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. The countertops are large and convenient. You need only bring your own food and drink. The dining area will make mealtimes a pleasure; in fact, you'll probably find yourself lingering to enjoy the experience.
Master Bedroom Wave Song's master bedroom suite is oceanfront; you will fall asleep and wake in the morning to the sights and sounds of the ocean. This beautiful room will relax you and the comfortable king bed will speed you to dreamland.
The beautifully appointed master bathroom has a jetted tub and shower to pamper you - as you deserve.
The second bedroom is also beautifully and comfortably furnished, with a queen bed. There is also a TV and desk space for your convenience. The second bathroom is just a step away from the second bedroom. It's a full bath with a tub and shower and is beautifully and dramatically decorated.
As a guest at Wave Song you will have access to the Beach Club , with its 20' X 40' indoor swimming pool, an 8 person hot tub, exercise facility, pool table, darts, game tables, and 19 seat surround-sound theater with real theater seats. There's also a kitchen so you can prepare snacks.
