Property Information
Location, location, location.  Right next to the harbor that Coastal Living Magazine just named as the 4th best harbor in the US for boat watching, they said, "4. Camden, Maine - Boaters may grumble about navigating among all the anchored watercraft in Camden’s long, narrow harbor. But that layout makes this a wonderful place for landlubbers to watch the bustle up close. Spectators can relax amid the greenery in beautiful Camden Harbor Park. They can savor some clam chowder or sip wine at one of the restaurants—including The Waterfront, Atlantica, and Bayview Lobster—that perch at the water’s edge. And terrific shopping lies just a few steps away"
Restored from top to bottom in 2004, this 4 bedroom, 3 bath Victorian farmhouse sits on the street that runs along the east side of Camden Harbor. It's a scenic 5 minute walk along the head of the harbor to town, the park, library and amphitheater, shops, restaurants, windjammer sailing and a public beach. One block the other way down the street is the public landing, where you can launch a boat or just admire the view of the outer harbor and Penobscot Bay.
The house is light and spacious, simply furnished with a mix of comfortable antiques and 'shabby chic.' Large airy living room with 2 french doors opening to a back porch with table for breakfast or a cookout. There is a gas grill included at this property. Open flow from kitchen to dining room, separate family room/library. Downstairs bedroom with bath. Upstairs master bedroom with en suite bath; soak in the claw foot tub with a view of Mt. Battie. 2 Additional bedrooms, another full bath and a laundry room also upstairs.

Bedroom Layout:

-One Downstairs Bedroom is a double bed with bathroom next to it.
-Two Upstairs master bedroom is a queen bedroom with en suite bath.
-Three Upstairs bedroom with one queen and shares hall bath with 4th bedroom.
-Four Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds and shares bath in hall (can be made into a king).

The Camden/Lincolnville/Rockport area is rich in outdoor activities, great dining opportunities, relaxation, and fun events.  There are so many things to do in the area that we can’t possibly list them all here, but we do want to share some of our favorite things to do and see.
We believe everyone should make a reservation as soon as they arrive at their property for a dinner at The Edge in Lincolnville.  This spectacular restaurant has one of the most incredible views of any restaurant in the state of Maine.  While a dinner for two may be in the $125 range with a bottle of wine included, it is well worth the price.  The food is incredible and the whole experience from walking on the wooded trail to the restaurant from the parking area, to the golf cart ride back to your car after dinner is truly rewarding.
Hiking, swimming and boating are three of our favorite things in the area:
When it comes to hiking, most tourists head up the easy 800’ trail to the top of Mount Battie overlooking Camden Harbor, and others head up Maiden Cliff overlooking Megunticook Lake.  However, we think the views from Beach Hill in Rockport are just as spectacular, and Beach Hill is better suited for a picnic lunch, in addition to being a short hike than anyone in the family from age 1 – 90 can enjoy.  The open fields of the summit, capped by Beech Nut, a sod-roofed stone hut, are visible from miles around. Built in the early 1900s, Beech Nut was recently listed on the National Historic Register and is soon to undergo some renovation in order to preserve its structural integrity. The Coastal Mountain Land Trust owns Beach Hill and continues to manage the fields as an organic blueberry operation.  Be sure to bring a pail if you hike it in August so you can pick plenty of great tasting free blueberries!
We think the two best places to go swimming in the area are at Ducktrap in Lincolnville, and at Megunticook Lake in Camden.  Ducktrap is best at high tide, just after the tide has turned and started to fall.  The warmer Ducktrap River feeds the ocean at that time, so it isn’t quite as cold as swimming in the ocean, yet you get to enjoy all the feelings, sites and sounds of swimming in Penobscot Bay.  Swim across the “trap” and explore the 200 year old graveyard with Revolutionary War soldiers just up in the woods.
Again, these are just a couple of the hundreds of activities in the area.  Consult with the Camden-Lincolnville-Rockport Chamber of Commerce to get more information on other activities in the area.
