This luxurious Tuscan country house constructed 600 years ago is in the heart of the Chianti countryside, and offers unchanged views over olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees. It is well located, only 30 minutes from Florence, 45 minutes from Siena and ten minutes from Greve in Chianti. The owners from a prominent family have made this their full-time residence. Thus, it has all the comforts of a luxury, private home, including fine linen sheets, soft towels, silver cutlery and impeccable service from the live-in couple, who are excellent cooks. La Lucertola was totally restored, and while the original structure was kept, it has been lavishly decorated with all modern amenities, including full satellite TV and an extensive DVD and video collections. The pool has sweeping views across the Chianti valleys, and receives the sun from dawn until dusk. While the property is well off a main road, there is an excellent restaurant only one kilometer up the road. La Lucertola is an ideal base for anyone wanting to enjoy the culture of Tuscan towns and villages. Guests can enjoy the products of the property's vegetable garden. There are resident cats and dogs.
DISTANCES: Badia a Passigna is 4kms, Panzano (nearest village with shops) is 7kms, Greve in Chianti is 8kms, nearest motorway exit (Tavernelle Val di Pesa) is 15kms and Florence is 35kms.
A live-in staff provides maid and cooking service (breakfast and another meal) 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, plus a 4 hour day. Heating and telephone available for an additional charge. There is deposit upon check-in of €250 for the telephone. Extra maid service is €13 per hour. All of these 'a la carte" services are paid locally with Euros and are subject to change.
Although this house has 4 bedrooms and an apartment it only accommodates up to 8 people.
