Situated high on a hillside, Casa de Miel provides a birdseye view of famous Cane Garden Bay with its sugar-white sand beach dotted with palm trees, and yachts riding at anchor. The welcoming entryway fashioned of native stone & vivid burnt orange opens dramatically into the pool area and the panorama of ocean & islands. The centrally air-conditioned main level of Casa de Miel is built as a circular pavilion with the small tri-level pool deck on 1 side.
This main level features an open-plan living-dining area & kitchen with a wall of iridescent glass tile, arranged along a semi-circular wall with flat-screen TV & DVD/CD player. Sliding glass doors open onto a native stonework balcony framing dramatic sea views. The well-equipped compact kitchen is centrally located in the hub of the circular main level. On the other side are 2 air-conditioned suites, one a king master (with cable TV, walk-in closet & large bath with iridescent glass tilework & double vanity), and the other a queen with cable TV & adjoining bath with stone-lined shower (a door opens from this bath to the kitchen, so it also serves as a convenient powder room).
The villa's lower level is accessed via an exterior staircase, and features a small sitting room (with cable TV), kitchenette, and French doors opening onto a balcony. Two air-conditioned bedrooms (1 king & 1 queen) share a bath. Casa de Miel's balcony joins the pool area, set with teak chaise lounges & large table perfect for alfresco dining or enjoying the tropical sunsets.
Casa de Miel is a casual yet comfortable villa furnished in island-ethnic style, with walls washed in pale green & orange sherbet hues, and set off with Mexican tiles underfoot. Though not a deluxe property, the villa is conveniently located just a minute's drive from Tortola's famed Cane Garden Bay, with beautiful sandy beach, boutiques, shops & restaurants.
* A complimentary local-cuisine Caribbean dinner, prepared by the villa's cook, will be served to all guests on Wednesday night (unless another evening of your choice is arranged in advance). She's also available upon request to cook other 3-course meals. (Please ask your reservations agent for above details).
