This waterfront villa is beautifully sited along a secluded hillside directly on prestigious Peter Bay, just 50 feet above the ocean and is built on several levels for maximized ocean views and cool tradewinds.
A columned entry portico ushers you into this spectacular villa, and as you step inside the foyer, the azure sea view will take your breath away. 2B at Peter Bay's main floor is actually on two levels. The first level includes the portico, foyer, library/office and open-design kitchen. Six steps lead to Great Room and sitting area for reading, TV and movies, and for formal dining. Five sets of double French doors lead to the expansive covered gallery decorated with cushioned sofas and a dining table for eight, with a view. A wraparound balcony surrounds three sides of the gallery.
Two steps lead to the private pool and sun deck, with chaise lounges for sunbathing and a small cocktail area for two. A few more steps lead to a waterfront overlook of Peter Bay's coral reef. This overlook is named Anniversary Point in celebration of its discovery on the owners' 25th wedding anniversary, a special intimate nook for two. Additional stone steps along the water's edge, lighted for balmy nights, lead gently down to the totally private Beach Terrace perched just 10 feet above the rolling ocean waves. Chaise lounges and chairs provide the perfect setting to enjoying the song of the ocean and pristine views that go on forever. Several steps beyond the Beach Terrace take you to a shaded oceanside path and to the sugar white sands of Peter Bay Beach, just 100 feet away - enjoy the idyllic beach or excellent reef snorkeling in Peter Bay.
Inside the villa you will find all four of the air-conditioned bedroom suites widely separated for exceptional privacy. Two equal queen suites are located on opposite sides of the house, on the same level as the library/office, powder room, and kitchen. Each queen suite is graced by a lovely carved mahogany four-poster bed, a private balcony for two facing the ocean, and a sheltered outdoor shower screened by lush landscaping. From the dining area in the Great Room just steps below, a staircase leads to the villa's third queen bedroom suite. This suite, identical in size to the other two above, has an ornate iron bedstead, its own private balcony facing the ocean and overlooking the Beach Terrace, and a tiled inside shower. Another short stairway leads to a foyer and into the exquisite king master suite, set on its own private level. This spacious suite features a massive mahogany king bed and a surrounding walkaround balcony which provides awe-inspiring sea vistas. From the master suite, a lighted stone walkway connects to a garden terrace with a hot tub and a sitting area.
This gracious home is beautifully decorated with casually elegant furnishings, finished with faux-painted frescoed walls, and highlights a collection of original artwork by St. John's Kat Sowa. Exceptionally well designed, the villa's varying levels are easy to navigate and provide various private nooks and areas for occasional solitude.
Two twin airbeds for those who require separate beds, but the maximum allowed is 8, including all children.
