Sassafras Place is our newest vacation home, completed in September 2007. This fantastic vacation home features five bedrooms and five and half baths in addition to loft sleeping areas with comfortable futons for extra guests. Sassafras Place is perched on top of Sassafras Mountain and sits on five acres of private land. The home is 4300 square feet with an additional 1800 square feet of covered deck and 800 square feet of terrace level patio. With this much room, there is plenty of space for everyone in your party to spread out and have some privacy or be together! Spectacular views abound from each room, and the terrace or deck are both fantastic places to take in the Northeast Georgia Mountain panorama. This is truly the vacation home of your dreams.

This 5-bedroom vacation home features spectacular views of the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Inside the house, appreciate the great outdoors by peering through 52 windows, 10 large sliding doors and one set of French doors – each offer panoramic views. The wraparound deck is a perfect place to kick back relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Great Room
The great room has 25-foot white pine ceilings and 3 stories of windows that offer spectacular views. There is a full home theatre with Dolby 5.1 surround sound, a 100-watt per channel Onkyo Digital receiver, DVD player, and a large Hitachi flat screen HDTV. The TV is mounted above the wood-burning fireplace. Sprawl out on one of the luxurious leather couches and enjoy the fire, a movie or game on the TV, and the gorgeous mountain views.
Kitchen
The large, well-designed, fully-equipped kitchen features upgraded appliances, hickory cabinets, granite countertops, and six inch hickory plank floors. It is truly a wonderful place to prepare a meal. The kitchen features a breakfast bar and the dining room is just adjacent. You and your family will love spending time in this great room.
First Master Bedroom
The first master bedroom is located downstairs and has a king-size bed, perfect for snuggling up in after a long day on the slopes. The private bath features a double whirlpool tub and a vanity with granite countertops. This bedroom also features a built-in flatscreen TV with DVD player.
Second Master Bedroom
The second master bedroom is located on the second floor and features a king-size bed and a full bath. This bedroom also features a built-in flatscreen TV with DVD player.
Third Bedroom
This bedroom features a queen-size bed and full bath. This bedroom also features a built-in flatscreen TV with DVD player.
Fourth Bedroom
This bedroom is on the terrace level at the top of the home. It features a comfortable bed, access to the sun deck, and beautiful views. There is a full bathroom that features two doors – one through the bedroom and one that leads to the family room. This bedroom also features a built-in flatscreen TV with DVD player
Fifth Bedroom
This bedroom is also on the terrace level of the home. It features a comfortable bed, access to the sun deck, and beautiful views. The North loft features an 8 foot maple Great Western pool table and computer center with DSL and wireless internet.
East Loft
The East loft two Lifestyle, queen-size futons with upgraded 9 layer mattresses – perfect for reading books by day or sleeping extra guests at night.
Terrace Family Room
The terrace family room features a wet bar, gas fireplace, a beautiful poker table and another HD home theater system. There are also an additional two sleeping areas, each with queen size futons and private bath access.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Slide open the doors off the great room to reveal a huge covered cedar deck, with 3 sets of teak tables and chairs – a perfect place for an outdoor meal with the whole party. There is also a very large Vita Spa hot tub designed for 8. Upstairs, French doors from the loft lead to a second floor 12x14 sundeck with an incredible view.

Panoramic Places vacation homes are located between Ellijay, Georgia and Amicalola Falls, Georgia at the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Just 90 miles north of Atlanta, our vacation homes offer convenience coupled with seclusion and beautiful views.
Downtown Ellijay, with an old-fashioned town square, is just 12 miles away and offers antique shops, art galleries, boutiques and specialty shops, and wonderful restaurants and eateries. In the fall, Ellijay hosts the best Apple Festival in the North Georgia Mountains.
Mountain bike trails and hiking trails are close by, including the famous Appalachian Trail. Whitewater rafting and canoeing are available on the Cartecay and Toccoa rivers.
