Hilton Head Island offers over 12 miles of beautiful beaches. Our beaches are easily accessible from any of our accommodations and are the perfect setting for long walks, bike riding, kite flying, beachcombing & sandcastles.
Water Sports
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean our island offers some of the best water sports available. Your choice of water activities includes kayaking, parasailing, fishing, sightseeing and dolphin cruises. You can also rent a jet ski, charter fishing boat or enjoy an eco-tour all from the beautiful waters of our island.
Eco Tours
Make your stay on Hilton Head a truly unique vacation by participating in an Eco-Tour. The choices are endless: you can relax and enjoy the scenery on a dolphin cruise, take a fishing tour, witness one of our spectacular sunrises or sunsets or explore our beaches in search of a Loggerhead nest.
A favorite of both locals and visitors is a kayak tour. They require no prior experience and are led my experienced guides. From the calm waters of our tidal creeks and salt marshes you can experience the true beauty of the Lowcountry and its wildlife. Dolphins, otters and snowy egrets are just a few of creatures that you are likely to encounter.
Fishing
Our island offers some of the best fishing fun on the east coast. You can choose to fish from inshore, offshore or take a charter out to the gulf stream. A variety of fish live in our waters including King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Shark, Wahoo, Red Drum and Sea Trout.
If you prefer to stay on land you can try your luck at surfcasting or drop your line in one of the many lagoons located on our island.
You will find an excellent choice of charter boats along with experienced captains at any of our local marinas including Palmetto Bay Marina, Shelter Cove Marina, South Beach Marina & Harbour Town.
Tennis
Tennis Magazine has named Hilton Head Island as its "perfect year-round tennis vacation" and has ranked the Sea Pines Racquet Club, Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, Port Royal Racquet Club and the Van der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club in their top 50 U.S. Racquet Clubs! Many of our properties offer "free tennis" at these clubs so be sure to inquire about "free tennis" when you book your reservation!

Hilton Head Island and the surrounding Low Country offer more than 25 golf courses for your enjoyment. With world-renowned designers such as Fazio, Trent Jones, Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus & Arnold Palmer, Hilton Head Island is truly a golfer’s paradise!
If you visit our island in April be sure to ask about the nationally televised "MCI Classic" held at the world famous Harbour Town Golf Links. Another of our favorite tournaments over Labor Day is the "Celebrity Golf Tournament." Featuring an array of celebrities from Hollywood to the World of Sports, this tournament is free to the public and raises thousands of dollars for our local children’s charities.
Island Biking
Biking is a popular way of exploring our beautiful island. You can rent a bike for a day or by the week, ride on the beach or on one of the many bike paths that wind their way around our island.
On the Beach:
Bike riding on the beach is a favorite pastime for many of our visitors. Hilton Head Island offers over 12 miles of breathtaking beach for you to explore by bike. Our beaches are very wide, especially at low tide and the hard sand provides the perfect surface for riding and exploring our shoreline.
On our Bike Paths:
Unique to Hilton Head are the miles and miles of bike paths that are available for you to enjoy. These scenic paths are a delightful way to tour the island, it’s lagoons and wildlife. Great fun for all ages, biking on Hilton Head Island has become a favorite activity.
Dining
With over 200 restaurants to choose from you will find an endless assortment of dining experiences. Whether you are looking for an inexpensive "casual night out with the family" or an "intimate night out on the town", Hilton Head Island is sure to meet all of your culinary expectations.
Shopping
