Listed on the National Register of Historic Houses, this wonderful Hudson Valley lodging was built in stages starting in the late 1700's in the tranquil village of Montgomery, New York. Montgomery is nestled into the Hudson Valley, in Orange County. Our Hudson Valley Bed and Breakfast is actually three houses attached and is now one big house sitting majestically on top of the hill on Clinton Street.
Pass through one of the two different entry ways, into the large center hall with center staircase that extends to the third floor. Within our Hudson Valley lodging there are eight tastefully decorated guestrooms, all with air conditioning, and most have working fireplaces. Two of our Hudson River Valley bed and breakfast guestrooms are very romantic suites in a secluded area of the house, providing the ultimate level of luxury and privacy.
Our Hudson Valley bed and breakfast offers a breakfast which is Full Service Continental, served by Innkeeper F. Edward Devitt II, in the beautiful dining room or on our Hudson Valley lodging's serene stone patio looking out over the tranquil water feature and garden area...don't forget to try one of his popular & delicious homemade scones! The Outlook Room

This large, romantic Hudson Valley room looks out onto historic Clinton Street through a large, shuttered bay window, filled with gorgeous flowers. Relax in the pencil post, queen sized bed that sits cozily right in front of the fireplace..The room is decorated in shades of blue and gold, has a private bathroom, and two comfortable love seats with reading lamps..(Our most popular room).
The Garden Room
$145-$155 per night
This romantic room looks out into the beautiful yard and gardens. This room is decorated with calming tones of green and pictures of flowers and plant life. There is a queen sized bed, a private bathroom, and an antique rocking chair to relax and read a book in.
Suite Sunrise
$175-$215 per night
Suite Sunrise is specially decorated to provide an atmosphere of luxury and romance. It is decorated in shades of blue and gold for a luxurious, romantic feel. There is a queen size sleigh bed to relax and unwind in. The furnishings in this spacious room include a historic non-working corner fireplace, a crystal chandelier, matching wing chairs, rocking chair,and an antique washstand with working brass sink. This room had it's own private bathroom.
Suite Sunset
$200-$225 per night
This luxurious suite is decorated in deep, rich shades of green and hints of gold with a very warm and cozy ambience. In this spacious room there is a large king size bed with a beautiful antique vanity. This room also includes a comfortable reading chair and romantic chaise chair to lounge and relax in..Open the walk-in closet doors and discover a trundle bed perfect for an older child to sleep away in. Also included is a large private bathroom with soaking tub and shower.
The Blue Rhapsody Room

This large, tranquil room overlooks the gardens and landscaped yard. This room is decorated in soft shades of blue and cranberry,with a queen sized sleigh bed. This room has a fireplace and two comfortable chairs for simply relaxing. This room shares a bathroom with The Lilac Room.

This large, sunny Hudson Valley room overlooks charming Clinton Street, with views of historic village buildings. This room has a queen size iron bed, a fireplace, a comfortable chair and reading lamp. Simply romantic, decorated in soft shades of lavendar, you will surely relax and have a romantic time with that special someone. This room shares a bathroom with The Blue Rhapsody Room.
The Maple Room

This quaint room overlooks the beautiful fishpond and patio. This room has two twin size sleigh beds, a fireplace, and comfortable chair for reading or relaxing. The room is decorated in simple colors of peach, that accentuate the gorgeous white comforters, and decor. This room shares a bathroom with Room 8.

Montgomery is nestled into the Hudson Valley, in Orange County. This house is actually three houses attached and is now one big house sitting majestically on top of the hill on Clinton Street. It is right in the center of the village, across the street from Village Hall which was the Montgomery academy in the early 1800's. Jacob Tooker was Headmaster of the Academy in 1828. He owned and lived in the house. In the 1860's it was sold to W.J. Mead.
Montgomery is nestled in the Hudson Valley in Orange County, where there is much to see and do. In the village, there are nine antique shops, an auction hall, fine restaurants, gift and chocolate shops, all within walking distance of the bed and breakfast inn. We strive to be Hudson Valley lodging at its finest.
