Property Information
This is the Premier unit in the beautiful complex of Casita Blanca and the best deal for your money on the Mayan Riviera! You will be right on the ocean in a private, quiet complex, pool, and completely new furnishings. It is just 15 minutes from the Cancun airport!

This luxurious two or three bedroom (master suite can be easily divided into two), two bathroom villa apartment has been completely renovated, inside and out. You will love all the entirely new designer furnishings. The mattresses and bedding are also brand new and of the finest quality. There is a king master suite with an additional full pullout bed, a queen bedroom, and an additional double futon in the living room. We love to cook, and if you eat-in, our new gourmet kitchen is beautifully equipped. As a bonus, we have windows on all four sides. The unit is bright, airy, and fresh throughout!!

Step outside into your own private patio with a large fountain and beautifully tiled outdoor shower where you can wash the sand and your worries away. There is an easy pass-thru window to the patio from the kitchen for your margaritas, chips, and salsa. The pool and ocean are only steps away. This jewel of a home is perfect for families who shy away from the noisy all-inclusive resorts. It is romantic as a hide-away and ideal as a retreat villa for extended stays. Lots of private space! Wireless internet access is available from your own livingroom.

The on-site managers speak English well and can assist you in meeting all of your vacation needs, including car rentals. With a short eight minute walk into the town you'll find excellent restaurants, coffee bars, and shops.

The beautiful coral reef (second largest in the world) is only a few hundred yards off shore and easily reached with our FREE on-site sea kayaks. The snorkeling and diving here are world-class. The barrier reef keeps the waves down, the water is warm, and it’s only 3 – 4 ft deep out for about 30 yards.

Puerto Morelos is that charming Mexican village still unchanged from the "tourist invasion" of recent years. It is also known for its delicious restaurants, ranging from sandy-floored fried fish huts where you can enjoy the local daily catch, to 4 Star dining. "Tuna’s" is a well-known palapa restaurant on-site at Casita Blanca with fun reggae nights.

Once you visit here you will never want to stay anywhere else.

    Property Activities
Welcome to Puerto Morelos!  This tranquil fishing town is a great location for relaxing and enjoying its quiet waters.  The waves that gently roll onto Puerto’s shore are protected by the Great Maya Reef, Mexico’s most recent addition to its National Parks and the second largest reef in the world.   Just 500 meters from shore, the Great Maya Reef is a wonderful haven for magnificent fish and coral that can be explored by snorkeling or diving.  This barrier also calms the waves making the beaches in Puerto Morelos ideal for families.

Only 15 minutes from the Cancun Airport and 25 minutes from Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos’ central location makes it a great hub for seeing all that the Mayan Riviera has to offer.

While it is impossible to list all of the exciting adventures awaiting you.  Puerto Morelos and The Mayan Riviera are unmatched in offerings of watersports, snorkeling and diving, golf,  fishing, ecotourism, Mayan ruins and culture, shopping, spas, and world class cuisine of every genre.  There are hustling nightspots and quiet beaches, making it a destination for everyone to enjoy -- However you choose to fill your time.

    Restaurants

Puerto Morelos has an awesome selection of restaurants -- the best of any small town on the coast!  From a corner cafe to award-winning gourmet cuisine, there is something for everyone.  Enjoy the freshest fish, lobster, Yucatan, Oriental, Italian, Argentinean, and Continental menus.  Plus, you are only minutes away from the incredible selection of restaurants that Cancun and Playa del Carmen have to offer.

    Grocery Stores

Puerto Morelos has a wonderful local grocery store, Casa Martin.  It supplies all of the necessities including paper goods, milk, meat, produce, sodas, liquor, beer, water, etc.

Every Wednesday morning, there is fresh produce market that offers great fruits and veggies located in the town square.

There are several stores in Cancun that offer top quality meats, cheeses, a wider selection of goods, and lower prices.  You may want to consider making a trip to stock up if you plan on eating in often:

WalMart – Excellent selection.  Lots of imported foods.  Open 24 hours.
Sam’s Club – Membership Required.  Located next to WalMart.
Costco – Membership Required.  Has the best selection of Meats and an excellent selection of cheeses, wines, liquors, beers, imports, etc.
Sorianna – Excellent grocery/everything store.  Includes:  large bakery/breads, produce, fresh juices (on the back wall in the produce section), gourmet foods, cheeses, deli, and fresh meats.  (Buy a few bottles of the fresh juices and freeze them – they’re wonderful.)
La Europea – Huge selection of wines, liquors, and specialty meats and cheeses.

Croco-Cun Zoo – Great little zoo with a collection of crocodiles and other indigenous animals .  Offers immensely informative tours (available in English) and opportunities to hold baby crocs and feed the deer.

Snorkeling – No one has truly experienced Puerto Morelos until they see the spectacular views that lie beneath its waters.  The fish and coral are outstanding!

Diving – Explore the world’s second largest reef.  Instruction courses available.

My family and I (5 in all) stayed in the Schmitz condo in Casita Blanca, PM. We had a fabulous stay !! We were absolutely SHOCKED at how comfortable the beds and pillows were ! Better than most 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The shed was stocked with sand toys and inflatables for our daughter to use (which was great b/c we forgot ours). The courtyard was a perfect place to relax or cookout (BBQ included!) The condo was very clean, "homey" and nicely decorated. The air conditioning kept us nice and cool at night. Having the beach so close - right out front- was a huge plus, but the pool was also a welcome change from the sea water and waves. Lots of great dining choices (try the orange building on the town square !) and peaceful atmosphere - both at the condo and in town. We really found the place well equipped for our stay and could not think of anything else we would have wanted. . .. except more time !! :)

    You will love it !

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful condo
along with another couple the first week of
February, 2007. Two other couples we are friends
with stayed nearby, making the patio a great spot
for get-togethers. The location is perfect with the
nice town of Puerto Morelos a short walk away and
the beach literally steps away. It was relaxing to
watch the "Beach Zamboni" drive up and down in
the morning. Everyone wanted this job after
retirement... Tuna provided food, drink and
entertainment right next door and this is where we
tried ceviche for the first time. It was fun to watch
the Super Bowl while eating hog fish (delicious!) at
Los Pelicanos. Hola Asia turned into a favorite
restaurant. Greg and Bruna (our roomies) would
order Pad Thai to go and heat it up with eggs for
breakfast. We can't get over how beautiful and
uncrowded the beaches are and how friendly
everyone is! We have traveled to many places and
this has been our favorite vacation to date. Our
"Conversational Spanish" classes this spring will
help in our Spanish-speaking efforts when we
    return in 2008.

    P.S. The snorkeling is fantastic!
