Stutts Creek Retreat is a private retreat on 5.5 acres , on a hill overlooking the Stutts Creek. The cottage is located only 15 minutes SE of Munising or 6 miles S of Shingleton. The cottage is approximately 1600 sq. ft and has enough sleeping space for 8 to 15 guests! We are smoke free at the cottage. You are welcome to bring your dog with prior approval and an additional fee. The p roperty is wooded, private and just a perfect place to get away from your busy lifestyle if only for a little while. Bring your canoe or kayak and fish for brook trout in this river. If you can tear yourself away from this comfortable setting, Munising and Pictured Rocks is only a short 15 mile drive. So, you can still take in Lake Superior and all that Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has to offer!
The cottage is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The living room includes luxurious leather furniture, north woods lamps and chandeliers, 48" T.V. with deluxe satellite package and a view of the creek. There is a small den off of the living room that overlooks the creek and has a double size futon for relaxing or additional sleeping space, a desk with computer and a rocking chair. There is so much for you here at the Stutts Creek Retreat, it's impossible to list everything!
The full kitchen includes: gas range, large refrigerator, table and chairs underneath an antler chandelier, dishwasher, garbage disposal, 4 slice toaster, commercial Bunn coffee maker, automatic ice maker, lots of cupboards, great well water for drinking, Pampered Chef pizza stones and other Pampered Chef products, plates, glasses, silverware, cooking and baking supplies, hand mixer and much more! You can access the deck from the kitchen where you can make use of the gas grill and picnic table and gather with family to enjoy a wonderful cookout. Watch the wildlife in the river, including swan, deer, and a moose has been seen in the past! Stutts Creek Retreat will be a place where you can catch up with nature, relax & read on the deck, fish for brook trout or just sit in front of the TV on a rainy day. Enjoy your evenings stargazing while making s'mores over the campfire.
The l arge master bedroom has 2 queen size beds, T.V. with satellite and en-suite bathroom with large shower. The family style loft has 3 queen size beds and 3 additional inflatable beds if needed. The loft overlooks the breathtaking creek. Enjoy the swans, otter, deer, wild turkey and other wildlife throughout the season. This beautiful cottage has wood floors and carpeting throughout. The cottage has been freshly painted and decorated with a North Woods theme. The second full bathroom with shower is just across from the laundry area. You can enter the mudroom through a second entry to this cottage…a great place to keep all of your outdoor gear.
We are conveniently located so you can enjoy the many attractions and recreational activities in the area...Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, Lake Superior, glass bottom boat rides, Ship wreck tours, diving in Munising Bay, Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise, and of course, our beautiful "not crowded" sugar sand beaches! All of this is only a 15 minute drive away to Munising! Some awesome creations that you won't want to miss are: Castle Rock, Miners River , Miners Falls , Miners Beach , The log slide, sand dunes. All of these are within a short drive and can all be enjoyed in one day, or break it up into two! Bring your 4 wheelers...maps will be available for you at this cottage so you can get to the trails directly from the cottage.
There is swimming and beach fun nearby at Cowell Lake . Boot Lake Bar and Restaurant is family friendly and only 1 mile away...great food. You can grocery shop in Munising or go to the store just down the road! There is a fire pit for your evening campfires...please bring your own wood. You are welcome to pick up the downed wood on the property for your fire. Sit around the bonfire and look at the starlit sky or roast some hot dogs or marshmallows. Phone is for local calls only. Bring a calling card to make long distance calls.

Winter Rates: December - March
$ 250.00 per night plus tax
$1450.00 per week plus tax (only $207 per night!)
June
$ 300.00 per night plus tax
$1595.00 per week plus tax (only $228 per night!)
Peak Summer Rates: July - Labor Day
$1795.00 per week plus tax (only $256 per night!)
July and August is rented by the week only, Saturday to Saturday.
Low Season Rates: April - May and After Labor Day – November
$ 250.00 per night plus tax
$1350 per week plus tax (only $193 per night!)
Rates are based on 8 guests or less. Each additional guest is $25 per guest per night or $125 per guest per week. July and August is rented by the week only, Saturday to Saturday. All other times of year, a 3 night minimum stay is preferred, staying within the Saturday rental week. 6% MI Sales tax is added to all reservations. If you only have 2 to 4 guests during non peak season and want to stay a whole week, email me for special rates!
