Property Information
Milbridge, Maine Peaceful and private oceanfront cottage with cool ocean breezes. Nestled in a private cove, our non-smoking cottage is situated on Tom Leighton Point. The cottage has a master bedroom with double bed, Living Area with futon couch, Kitchen and Dining Area and full bath. You'll have an opportunity to see deer and moose, right in the yard!
Watch bald eagles, terns, loons, numerous waterfowl and seabirds. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Talk to local fishermen at the town pier and purchase their fresh catch right off the boat. In Milbridge, find convenient access to a new supermarket, fish and meat market, banking, Historial Society Museum, drug store, health center and services. Stroll down sidewalks and browse several gift shops including the well stocked "Cinnamon Stick." Take in a movie at the Milbridge Theater and dine at one of several local eateries. Try the local drive-in for a fish fry or ice-cream or dine at 44 North, a restaurant & pub.

Explore Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge in neighboring Steuben, featuring over 3500 acres, coastal islands, and open to the public blueberry barrens. A wonderful spot for walks and hikes. View the Petit Manan Lighthouse, the 2nd tallest in the US, amazing opportunities for bird watching, and the occasional sighting of moose and bear. Pigeon Hill offers a short and rewarding hike leading to the summit and breathtaking views of peninsulas, islands and ocean.
On your way to the Schoodic area, visit the famous Bartlett Estate Winery featuring delightful fruit wines. Explore nearby Schoodic Peninsula, part of the Acadia National Park, with surf crashing on bolders. Stop in Gouldsboro for organic Darthia Farm and Mandala Farm. In South Gouldsboro, Moose Outlook Guide Service offers outdoor adventures and kayak rentals. Jones Pond offers delightful freshwater swimming, a fantastic playground and picknicking. The coastal town of Winter Harbor provides ferry services to Bar Harbor and Nova Scotia, and has a beautiful walking village featuring antiques and art galleries, unique shopping, and several eateries. Winter Harbor 5 and 10 offers any item you may need and others that are a delight to discover. Stop at J. M. Gerrish's for provisions and cafe and visit Hammond Hall, home of the local arts orgainization Schoodic Arts for All. All summer SAFA hosts art, music and theater events and workshops.
To the North, not far from Milbridge, you will find fabulous hiking in the Tunk Preserve--explore Black, Caribou, and Schoodic Mountains with trails and adjoing lakes, ponds, rivers and streams, of which Spring River lake offers pristine and private swimming and canoeing.
Take a day trip to Bar Harbor (50 minutes) and Acadia National Park, or travel East and along the coast you can explore Campobello Island, FDR's summer home (60 minutes), and Canada (70 minutes). In the same area, Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point and lighthouse in the US is breathtaking.

Weekly rate $450, Monthly rate 3 weeks rent = 4th week free.
Week is Saturday 3PM to Saturday Noon.
As of 9/8 weekly rate $350 (4 person occupancy)
Nightly rates: $65 for 2 people, $10 extra per adult
Plenty of blankets, bring your own sheets and towels.
