Property Information
A Mountain Retreat on top of the world. From early dawn until sunset, you’ll be immersed in the 180° view of ridge, after ridge, after ridge of one of the best views of the Great Smoky Mountains. If that isn’t enough, just wait until the stars come out! Turn off the cabin lights, lie in the hammock and stare up at the beautiful starry sky that punctuates the darkest nights you’ve ever seen.
During the day, you can relax in the shaded covered porch of this genuine log home and enjoy rocking and watching nature at is best. You’ll likely be visited by many birds, deer and some wild turkey. The big side terrace with its deck and stone patio features a hot tub, hammock and outdoor dining table. And the second deck on the lower level is the place to rock your cares away rain or shine.
Inside, your meals can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen and served at the inside dining table, outside picnic table on the covered deck or the outdoor dining table on the terrace. Of course you can just cook outside on the gas grill if you wish. There are three satellite TVs in the cabin highlighted by a new widescreen HD-TV over the fireplace and each one has a DVD player for movies.
All this is just minutes away from the shops, restaurants and train station in the quaint town of Bryson City and short distance from the Indian town of Cherokee, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and some of the best whitewater rafting in the east on the Nantahala River. With the beautiful North Carolina mountain view just outside the massive windows, once you stay in this beautiful cabin, it will become a part of you.
Sky Cove Retreat is pet friendly, sleeps 6-7 and is available year round.

Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up of any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture will be subject to additional fees. All pets must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations and must be free from fleas. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical fela and tick repellent three days prior to arrival. The cabin owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises. |

Sunday morning, the snow covered "our" mountain like a new white comforter. The first snowmen for our little men to bring to life...
Last act: The sun did a dance with the clouds taking giant leaps from valley to peak. We doen't want to leave. There were too many miracles to memorize so we are hoping to come again.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin. The drive up here was pretty scary but it was worth it. We went to Nantahala kayaking and had a great adventure. The hot tub and hammock were my favorite part.

We enjoyed every moment of our time here at Sky Cove Retreat. This was our first visit to NC and enjoyed the scenic view from the porch; we have nothing like this back home.
