Property Information

Pristine canalfront home in Lower Matecumbe Key in the Village of Islamorada with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths on two levels. 2B/2B upstairs with wood pergo floors, vaulted tongue and groove ceilings and sliding glass doors to canalside sun deck. 1B/1B guest quarters downstairs with ceramic tile floors and full bathroom. Tiki hut and 70' of concrete dock with fish cleaning station. Fully furnished and equipped for a perfect vacation.

The Florida Keys

The Keys are a 106 miles chain of islands bordered by the Atlantic ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. Driving the length of the keys means traveling over 42 bridges, including the longest bridge in the U.S., the Seven Mile Bridge. The main road, The Overseas Highway, is marked by mile markers, starting with Key West at MM1. Our house is in MM 73.5, exactly 1 1/2 hours from Miami or 1 1/2 hours from Key West.

The atmosphere throughout the Keys is relaxed and casual. No need to dress up even for the best restaurants in town. Islamorada is known as the sports fishing capital of the world. Here you can experience the finest fishing, diving, and snorkeling as well as the freshest seafood and the best Piña Coladas.

Property Activities

Islamorada is located in the Middle Keys, 90 minutes from Miami and 90 minutes from Key West with its beautiful shops and great restaurants, and approximately 20 minutes from the Seven Mile Bridge, the longest bridge in the U.S. and a beautiful drive for a lazy afternoon. If you would like to stay close by, you can shop at Wide World of Sports where you can see the replica of Hemingway's boat, Pilar, and the largest salt water tank.

Islamorada has some of the best restaurants in the Florida Keys, such as Pierre's Restaurant (photo on right), with its Key West style arquitecture and elegant bar. Morada Bay is a great place if you like a more casual atmosphere and a must for sunset watchers. Don't miss the new Ziggies and Mad Dog, Islamorada Fish Company, Island Grill, Lazy Days or the elegant Cheeca Lodge.

Anne's Beach is dedicated to local environmentalist Anne Eaton. There are 2 parking lots approximately 1/4 mile apart on US-1 at MM 73. Anne's Beach features a shallow swimming area, covered picnic tables, boardwalk and bathroom facilities.
