If you are looking for new, value priced accommodations in a 2 bedroom rental villa on St. John, in the beautiful United States Virgin Islands, then you have found it!

Luna Vista is "not your father's Oldsmobile", nor are we "your average bear". If you would like to share our pets they are friendly and love attention. Guests have rented power boats, and we have gone along as captain and guides to
the BVIs and beyond. Bruce is a licensed captain and he enjoys taking guests out on our sailboat for a day sail and/or snorkel for a reasonable price (bring your own beverages and snacks). We have also shared Scuba diving adventures
with guests. If you would like to be left alone to enjoy Luna Vista and this wonderful island of St. John on your own, we can do that as well.

Luna Vista is a brand new vacation rental villa on St. John. The owners, Bruce and Jan, live upstairs. They rent the lower ground floor from $1,150 to $2,150 a week, depending on the season and how many guests (a maximum of four). They are available as your hosts to personalize
your stay and help you get as much enjoyment as possible while you are here on St. John. We are continually striving to make our villa the best value for our guests. If you check other accommodations on St. John in our price range and size, you will see that we offer more for
less.

New in 2007, Luna Vista is the lower floor of a two-story private home at the midpoint of the island. It is just a short distance to the best beaches on St John, such as Maho Bay and Trunk Bay (rated one of the world's top 10
beaches).

Luna Vista, is at an elevation of approx. 1000 feet, faces east with magnificent "down island" views of the British Virgin Islands. The ever
present trade winds through the Sir Francis Drake Channel, moderate the temperature to perfection.

There are two king bedrooms, one of which can be converted to twins upon request. There is one bath, a spacious living and dining room area, and a kitchen that previous guests have said is the best equipped villa kitchen on St. John. Also, there is a large covered porch with a big barbeque and a splash pool with a small deck.

UPDATE: We just got our second phone line
for downstairs. And we have added WiFi, so if you bring your laptop with that capability, you can have internet access.

Vacation Rental Policies

Required Stay: minimum stay of four nights

Deposits: A 50% deposit is required at time of booking and the balance is due two weeks prior to arrival. Deposit is fully refundable if there is a cancellation 30 days or more prior to arrival. Between 30 days and two weeks prior to arrival 50% of deposit is refundable. Deposit is non-refundable after that. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to rent to another guest. If one is found, all money will be returned less a 10% service charge.

Other Unlisted Amenities

* Size--The total floor area is about 900 sq. ft. with two bedrooms, one bath, living/dining area and kitchen. There is a large covered porch and a small pool deck with splash pool on the north side of the building. There are tile floors throughout. The walls have cypress wainscoating and cypress ceiling boards.

* Bedroom 1--The larger, 14 ft. x 14 ft. bedroom, has a king size bed, armoire and a tall table. The window faces to windward and has great breezes with a valley view. There is a ceiling fan, and wall air conditioner unit which rarely needs to be used.

* Bedroom 2 The second bedroom is 8 ft. x 14 ft., has two twin beds which can be configured as a king upon request. There is a dresser, ceiling fan, wall air conditioner and adjacent walk in closet. The window looks out to a stone wall in the back of the house.

*Bathroom - The bathroom is 5 ft. x 9 ft. with a walk in glass block shower, toilet and single sink with large vanity.

*Living/Dining - This common area is 14 ft. x 22 ft. It is furnished with a couch, love seat, dining table with chairs for four and small end tables. There is an entertainment center, 42" plasma

TV with DVD player and over 550 movies to view upon request. The two ceiling fans keep this area comfortable. The two six foot sliding doors open out onto the porch and the 'down island' views.

*Kitchen--The kitchen has granite countertops and is equipped with a full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, stainless steel gas cooktop, microwave/convection oven and stainless steel sink. Numerous small appliances such as toaster, blender and coffeemaker are included to make preparing any meal easy.

*Porch--The 350 sq. ft. covered porch has a 30,000 BTU 4 burner stainless steel barbeque for your grilling pleasure. Two wicker chairs for lounging, and an outdoor table with seating for four makes eating out in the cool breezes a must.

*Pool - The Splash Pool is 7 x 14 ft. There is a hot outdoor shower to rinse pool water off after dipping, or sand off feet after a day at the beach. The pool deck area has lounge chairs and is great for some quiet time.

The water is charcoal filtered and UV treated, but we still reccommend using bottled water for drinking and ice making, etc. There is some road noise mostly during early and late daylight hours. There is a bus stop adjacent to the house with a route running from one end of the island to the other on an hourly ('island time') schedule.
