Lake Superior is right outside the door and the long, private beach has everything you could possibly want, ledge rock, cobblestones, and sand. Its a tranquil spot to relax and enjoy. If you need to have a work meeting, the cabin offers high-speed fiber optic cable and a WiFi extender so you can take your meeting on the beach. Hours can be spent rock hunting, walking on the beach, watching the waves, ravens, eagles, otters, and enjoying the beauty of the north shore. The bonfires are magical; sitting under the moon and a blanket of stars, listening to the crackle of the campfire (conditions permitting) and the sound of the waves. No matter the mood of Lake Superior, crashing waves or smooth as glass, it is mesmerizing.The cabin itself is charming with views of the lake from just about every room. It offers all the comforts of home, with much better views. The living and dining room overlook the lake and the gas fireplace is perfect for cool evenings. There is a full collection of games and movies for family fun. Plus, the cabin has undergone several updates and improvements in recent years, including a recent kitchen update.The master bedroom has a queen bed with a Tempur-pedic mattress topper for extra comfort. Upstairs are two more bedrooms and a delightful sunroom with beautiful views overlooking the lake. It is a quiet spot to relax with a favorite beverage or make your co-workers green with envy on that Zoom call. The cabin sits on 2 acres, the open spacious yard is perfect for barbecuing and yard games. Beach chairs are provided in the storage shed so you can sit in comfort by the water. The adventurous types can fire up the sauna and run into the lake to cool off. Water shoes or sandals are recommended.This Home is Dog Friendly! Dogs are awesome and they are welcome at Hovland Hideaway. The new and exotic smells on the beach keep them completely entertained. There is a 2 dog maximum and other pets are not permitted, there is an additional pet fee.Hovland Hideaway is a photographers dream. Just point your camera and the odds are good you will have a frame worthy photo. If you are lucky you may see the northern lights at the left end of the beach. Tip - look through your phone camera to see all the colors. Usually your naked eye will only see a whitish glow but your camera will pick up the greens and reds.Hovland Hideaway is a wonderful, relaxing place that will draw you back again and again. Sauna: The sauna is in a separate building detached from the house. EV Charger: This property is equipped with a private Level 2 EV Charger.
