Time seems to have stopped in this small village with its characteristic piazza onto which the entrance of this palazzo faces. The owners, descendants from a noble family who originally built the palazzo, have recently restored the building keeping the historical characteristics of the period from the precious wooden decorated ceilings to the original frescos. The owner/architect has taken great care to restore the Palazzo to its original grandeur and has personally designed many of the decorations herself. All the bathrooms have been elegantly restored in the style of the 17th century decor.
In the lower part of the village, there is a splendid garden with private pool. The garden is located between the countryside and the last house in the village, partially fenced by the antique walls of the property and established trees. A wall separates the pool area from the outside dining area that includes a barbecue. This is all just a three minute walk from the Palazzo.
This location is central for visiting northern Lazio, spending a day in Rome, Florence or Cortona while also allowing you to visit the hillside villages of Umbria, including Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto.
The owners have restored this Palazzo into ten apartments, and we offer you the Piano Nobile, so named because this was always the living quarters of the noble families. The high ceilings and thick walls will guarantee your privacy from the other apartments. The entrance hall is decorated with antique coats of arms and family emblems that remind you of glorious times of the palazzo. There is a large dining room with vaulted ceiling, beautiful frescoes and large window, a TV room with piano and a kitchen with a loft bedroom and bath for possible use of a nanny/babysitter. The large, ninety-five square meter ( 1,035 square feet!) living room is a perfect gathering place. The apartment also has a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with bath, a loft double bedroom suite with small sitting room and en suite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and twin and double bedrooms with connecting bathroom with shower.
