Property Information
TS51 - Casa Federica is located in one of the most picturesque areas of Tuscany, you have the best of both worlds! Casa Federica is situated in a very nice small town with all the conveniences, yet the back of the house looks out over the beautiful country landscape of an area known as Le Crete, with beautiful grounds and unbelievable views of the Siena countryside.
While the town is quite intimate, it has all the necessities you need to settle in for a long stay, including a coffee bar, two truffle and wine bars, pharmacy, post office, supermarket, bank and characteristic shops such as a butcher and bakery, a gourmet restaurant along with weekly markets and a Tartuffo museum. A recent article in THE NEW YORK TIMES featured this town and museum and brings tourists to this sleepy hamlet, but your house is down a quiet street and once you open the gate to house, you find the quiet and peacefulness of a country home.
You have many things to do in this area, exploring the small villages of Montisi, Asciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Quirico d'Orcia, Buonconvento, Bagno Vignoni or easy day trips to Siena, Lake Trasimeno, Assisi, Perugia, Florence, San Gimignano, Bormarzo, Mount Amiata or the Maremma.
On the edge of the village, this 15th century house has its own private entrance that leads out onto a furnished terrace and small private swimming pool maintained by the gardener. A few steps down you reach an open sunning area with deck chairs set among a 14th century well (covered for your protection). At the other end of the pool is a changing room with shower along with gorgeous views of the Sienesi valley.

The list includes: bread, butter, jam, eggs, 2 liters milk, 1 packet Earl Grey Tea, 1 packet coffee, natural yogurt, orange juice, 2kg fruit in season, 2kg pasta, 2 jars tomato sauce, 1 piece fresh parmesan cheese, salad and tomatoes, onions, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, 6 liters mineral water, 4 bottles beer, 2 bottles red wine, dishwasher detergent.
Meals at villa: Arrival dinner 25E per person. This includes shopping, prep and cooking, wine and cleaning up the cooking but not staying for cleaning up the table. Menus for other dinners are available (price includes 18E per hour for the cook plus the cost of groceries).

The ground floor is one large room with Renaissance period archways that divide the living areas: a sitting room with a large 16th century fireplace, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The wrought iron staircase leads you to the three bedrooms. There is a double bedroom on the left with a beautiful Palladian window overlooking a quaint narrow street, two bathrooms with showers in the hallway and at the end of this hall is a double bedroom to the left and a twin bedroom to the right, both with stunning views of the soft, rolling landscape that trademarks the Le Crete area. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioners and ceiling fans.
