This exquisite luxurious penthouse apartment is close to the Spanish Steps on one of the most beautiful residential and pedestrian streets in Rome. Located in a palatial building behind a row of 18th century houses and palm trees, it is in a neighborhood famous for its antique shops. This apartment with priceless antiques and paintings is a masterpiece all its own. Besides being breathtakingly beautiful, it is tranquil as well ~ the only sounds you'll hear are the birds chirping in the trees on your terrace. This beautiful garden terrace with potted lemon and olive trees is also overflowing with colorful flowers adding to the essence of pure nirvana. A lovely location, yet absolutely silent and peaceful, makes it an unforgettable Roman Holiday. There is no finer example in all of Rome.
Through the formal entrance an archway leads from the foyer to the large, spacious and very airy living room. A second archway leads to a small alcove/study that also opens to the living room. A wall of glass opens up to your very private garden terrace. The owner has created a spectacular outdoor living room with table, chairs and chaises, orange and olive trees and terracotta pots brimming with colorful flowers. A large retractable electric awning covers the patio at the mere click of a switch when shade is needed from the summer sun. You will have a hard time tearing yourself away from this outdoor room, but if you do want to eat inside, the formal dining room with beautiful wood and glass pocket doors is adjacent to the living room and next to the spacious and fully equipped kitchen, making it hard to venture out to one of Rome's many excellent restaurants!
The master bedroom is located in the back of the apartment with a firm comfortable king sized bed, color TV and a charming French balcony that looks over a beautiful interior courtyard with palm trees, color washed buildings and cascades of colorful flowers. A marble master bathroom right outside the bedroom door has a whilrpool tub with wall mounted hand held shower.
Down the hallway, past the dining room in the front of the apartment is a twin bedroom with a terrace door that opens to the side of the main terrace. Its own bathroom is bright and cheery with green and white tiles and has a large bathrub with hand held shower.
At the end of the hallway is a very cozy, single bedroom. This room is very special. It has two sets of French doors; one opens out to the garden terrace and the other opens onto a French balcony that runs along the twin bedroom. This room has an en suite bathroom with yellow and white tiles and a large shower.
