American writer Francis Marion Crawford and many poets and literati including Goethe, Stendhal, and Byron made this area of Sorrento their homes. Located a 10-minute walk from Sorrento, the property provides hospitality for those who wish to enjoy a special stay in the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula, surrounded by luxury and comfort. The mild climate, courteousness of the people, good food, charming landscapes and ancient historic and artistic traditions make Sorrento suburbs one of the most beautiful spots in Italy. In a privileged position situated among the most charming hotels of Sorrento, Villa Literati is 500 meters from the beach, where Lido di Marinella, one of Sorrento’s most beautiful, famous beach concessions will ensure splendid days of sun and sea. Marina Piccola, approximately one kilometer from the villa, allows guests to experience the wonderful sea of Sorrento and its Peninsula, with its landing for ferry’s and hydrofoils for the Islands of Capri and Ischia and Naples, boats for tours to Punta Campanella, a wonderful natural marine reserve, and in the summer months, the sea metro - a very convenient service that sails to Naples, Positano and Amalfi in under an hour.

Villa Literati is a pleasant house which combines rooms filled with history and tradition, such as the library, with vintage books, and its halls, filled with antiques, modern comforts, and high end service. Elegance and taste also abound in the 10 bedrooms of Villa Literati, one of the prettiest in the Sorrento area. Furnished with classic taste, with original parquet floors, and antiques, the bedrooms offer the best in comfort and charm. Large and bright, overlooking the pretty park that surrounds the villa, embellished with top quality fabrics and accessories, the bedrooms are of different sizes, similar to a classic, superior, and junior suite style found in luxury hotels. Some bedrooms have sofa beds and can sleep up to four people in absolute comfort.
Showers are found in the smaller bedrooms and Jacuzzi bathtubs are found in the larger. The refined bathrooms boast lovely marble tiles, hairdryers, and a wonderful complementary beauty kit. Satellite, plasma TV, direct dial phone, mini-bar, safe, and air conditioning in each bedroom ensures a more than pleasant stay at Villa Literati.

A luxurious park of age-old plants surrounds Villa Literati and ensures guests discretion and privacy. Among palms, citrus trees, and typical Mediterranean plants, the charming lemon house recalls the cultivation of the Prince of Sorrento, the lemon (protected by the Appellation of Protected Origin), and adds a touch of real tradition to the park. The beautiful pool is located in one of the prettiest spots of the garden. Surrounded by a parterre, an Italian formal garden with porphyry (large grained crystal quartz) and framed by the wonderful plants of the park, it is a very pleasant spot for a swim or relaxing on the side of the pool, at its external dining tables and on the chaise lounge chairs.

Gorgeous beach can be reached by 500 meters walk and Marina Piccolo is 1 kilometer from the villa.

Price listed is for 20 guests. The villa can accommodate an additional 4 guests on sofa beds in 4 double bedrooms and 2 cots for 2 children under 12 in 2 of these bedrooms for an additional fee of 500 euro per guest per week.
