Property Information
The Rockmoore House is a very large, sumptuous retreat for families, friends and horses alike. An eight-bedroom log house, a two bedroom guest house and exceptional stables rest on more than twenty acres of beaufiful nature. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and modern and a delight to cook in, with a big Viking range and two sinks. On the stone patio there is a magnificent stone fireplace and gas grill, and the outdoor dining area has a breathtaking sightline to the sunset.
An upscale Western ambiance prevails here: comfortable, expansive, welcoming. The floors, the walls, the vaulted, beamed ceilings are all of warm, burnished wood. Wide leather couches face a tall stone fireplace in the Great Room, off to the side is the four-foot TV and state-of-the-art sound system. The eight bedrooms are very roomy as well - all with high peaked ceilings and lots of windows; and kings, queens, twins and cribs in different configurations. The playroom has two twin beds built into the walls.
The guest house, a private, quiet space set off down a short path from the main house, has its own kitchen, living room, bath and two bedrooms. It is a clean, simple and spare abode, with its own wide, splendid views. A clear, pebbly creek tumbles along outside the windows, winding around to the front of Rockmoore House.
The Rockmoore House is surrounded on three sides by grassy pastures and a groomed polo field, and buttressed behind by a natural butte. There is room to ride, and trails to walk, and the tumbling stream to wade or fish in, all under the great wide Wyoming sky. The hot tub, in its own private spot on the stone patio, is an inviting place from which to watch the stars reel by. Totally private, with stunning views of the mountains, the Rockmoore House is yet only ten minutes from Jackson Hole.
