Property Information

DANCING FALLS LODGE

A brand new log home just completed in August 2008. Located within the gates of the Rumbling Bald Resort at Lake Lure (AKA Lake Lure Golf and Beach Resort). Note only houses located in the resort have access to the resort amenities (two golf courses, three outdoor pools, one in-door pool, private beach and marina (boat rentals available), tennis courts, putt putt, fitness center, spa and more).

The house is situated on the golf course and overlooks the 16th hole (a scene location from the movie Dirty Dancing), a beautiful pond and waterfall. Also a spectacular view of Bald Mountain from the large covered front porch. Sleeps 20.

Level One: Master bedroom with two queen beds. Master bath has walk-in shower and separate tub. Additional half bath, great room with vaulted ceiling and wood burning fireplace. Fully loaded kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, large dining room and a four season sun room with access to a large deck. Sun room has an ottoman that converts to a single sleeper sofa.

Level two: Three bedrooms, two bedrooms have a queen and a twin in each room and loft bedroom (enclosed) has a queen bed. Full bathroom with tub and shower.

Lower Level: One bedroom with a queen bed and a full bed. Walkout screened in porch and a large deck with hot tub. Full bathroom has walk in shower. Large family room with queen sleeper sofa, single sleeper sofa, pool table and foosball table. A laundry room with washer and dryer. Second refrigerator.

Extras: TV's with cable and DVD player in great room, family room and all bedrooms. Stereo/CD player. Wireless internet.

50% payment required to hold reservation. Remaining 50% required 14 days prior to arrival. 100% refund if cancel 30 days prior to arrival (minus $50 processing fee) $100 cleaning fee and $25 administration fee. Checks and paypal accepted. 11.75% sales tax additional.

Vacation Rental Policies

Payment Options: Check or paypal

Check In: Check in at 4 pm. If cabin is cleaned you can check in earlier. Check in process is handled by resort.

Check Out: 10 am. Resort sometimes allows late checkouts if there is no one checking in after you.

Required Stay: 3 night minimum. 6 night minimum in summer, unless there are openings for fewer than 6 nights.

Deposits: 50% deposit required at time of booking. $350 security deposit requried two weeks prior to check in.

Lodging Tax: 12.75%

Cancellation Policy: 100% refund less $50 if cancel with more than 2 weeks notice.

Other Fees: $175 cleaning and admin fee which is passed on directly to the resort for cleaning and handling check in process.

Property Activities

The Mountain Kids Club provides an adventurous and educational recreation program for youth ages 7 to 13. This structured and well-supervised program provides introductory experiences for a variety of outdoor recreational activities including: hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, speed tubing, fishing, gem mining, and more. Each week the Resort Shuttle takes small groups of guests directly to our area's most beautiful attractions. When we take care of the driving, you can focus on having fun! The Morrow's , Spending Christmas week at Dancing Falls was perfect! The house is new and beautiful, the location and views were marvelous!The owners had Christmas trees and all the trimmings in place when we arrived, couldn't have asked for more! We had 17 of us and had plenty of room. The grandkids enjoyed the woods,the stream and falls,the hot tub, the pool table, the foosball, and the big screen TV for their use--the adults enjoyed that most of that took place in the rec room downstairs! We all enjoyed the resortfacilities-golf,tennis,basketball, indoor pool and hot tub, plus steam and sauna rooms. We had great fun snow tubing at Moonshine Mountain in Hendersonville, shopping at Chimney Rock,hiking and some even went to the Biltmore. Actually a week didn't seem like enough time! Thanks to Laurie and Tom for sharing their wonderful home for our fantastic Christmas celebration.

L&R , Columbia , SC We stayed here from Oct 9th through the 12th. We just loved staying here and would love to come back. The house was beautiful and clean and the scenery was amazing. Would definitely recommend !!

We had 5 couples stay at Dancing Falls for New Year's Eve and we all had a great time! The cabin was so nice yet cozy and comfortably slept us all with enough comfy seating for all to enjoy the views during the day. We loved the fireplace, hot tub and pool table. It was a perfect place for us to catch up over the new year. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your lovely home!

meg herndon , Edisto Island, S.C. The Herndons had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Dancing Falls!! The house was perfect for 14 of us with 25 showing up for Thanks. dinner We walked, golfed, shopped in Black Mt. a little and some went to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express and some went to pan for gold and go up Chimney Rock. It was a relaxing 4 days in a beautiful home. Thank you so much I would highly recommend it!!
