Property Information

Lo Spumante Dolce is a beautifully restored stone farmhouse that sits on a hill surrounded by vineyards and amazing views. One wing of the villa is available to our clients. The owner, who lives in a different wing for a few days each week, is a valuable resource when it comes to local wines and truffles. Guests enjoy a private swimming pool, a covered seating area and a barbecue for al fresco dining.

Quality furnishings, original tile floors, interesting brickwork and a solid kitchen highlight the interiors. With two living rooms and a billiard room, there is plenty of space for a group of six to enjoy themselves indoors and out. Plus, there are screens on all windows, a washing machine, a CD player, a VCR with English language movies, a ping pong table and a small library of books also in English. Firewood is included in the price. Maid service may be requested when booking.

Cereseto, less than a mile away, has a grocery store and a trattoria. Within 15 minutes by car are other towns like Moncalvo, the culinary capital of the Monferrato area, with wine and white truffle festivals in the fall. Follow the Piemonte wine roads to some of the world's most prestigious wines: Barolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo. Explore the region's medieval hill towns and castles, many of which are open for wine tasting.

Torino, the region's capital is an hour's drive. Within 90 minutes are Milan or Lake Maggiore to the north and Genova along the Italian Riviera to the South.
