Property Information
Aptly named, this single family townhouse places you right in the heart of the Italian Riviera. Within a scant 30 minute drive to the west is the ancient seafaring capital of Genova, with Europe's largest pedestrian only historic district and the world's second largest aquarium. To the east, within the same amount of time, lies Santa Margherita, but not before you see Camogli and Recco.
Bogliasco itself is sure to capture your attention too. Walk to the bakery, a 12th-century church, the Tuesday morning market and four restaurants including one specializing in seafood, just 20 yards away. As long as you're fit to trek half a mile to the train station, you can even skip the car and rely totally on the rails.
This non-smoking home with air conditioned bedrooms sits above a pay- per-use pier for sunbathing and a tiny, pebbly cove beach. It enjoys wonderful sea views from every room and from its panoramic, furnished patio. With the exception of the top floor bedroom, all of the rooms are quite small making this home best suited for a family, keeping in mind that children under age 10 are not allowed.
Maid service may be requested when booking. Those coming by car will need to find space on the town's streets or park in a paid lot 400 yards away.
Expect to hear the usual noises associated with village life: neighbors, the beach, the restaurant, the bell tower and the road are all sure to contribute their distinctive sounds to Bogliasco's daily concert.
Nervi with more shops, beaches and restaurants is within a 10 minute drive; Chiavari, Genova or Santa Margherita: 30; Portofino: 35; Gavi: 60; Cinque Terre: 80; San Remo, Pisa or Lucca: 100; Florence or Milan's airport: two and a half hours.
