Property Information
Rapid Creek winds like a blue ribbon down past Rapid Creek Lodge, a robust, luxurious Western log house on ten acres of pasture and aspens, with the Grand Tetons towering behind. From the hot tub, look for elk, deer and moose whom often come out of the vast forest to visit the creek. The center of the three-bedroom house is one great vaulted room, divided by a massive stone fireplace into living and dining areas, and by a granite-topped breakfast bar from a kitchen which is professionally-equipped and has an absolutely spectacular view. Soaring windows bring the outdoors in.
Off of the living room is the spacious master suite, with king-size bed and doors that open to a private deck and the bright mountain air of Wyoming. A dressing room and sumptuous bathroom, finished in tumbled limestone, with a jetted tub and shower are part of the master suite. On the opposite side of the first floor is a second bedroom, with a queen bed, comfortable reading chair and private bath. Upstairs, a bridge leads to a loft-like game room, and the lovely third bedroom and bath.
Rapid Creek sits in the very heart of ski country, next to the nation's best powder at Grand Targhee, and 45 minutes from Teton village. Summer here is magical; a horse corral is right outside, a four stall barn is a short walk away through the aspens, and riding and hiking trails into the Jediah Wilderness start from the back door. The creek provides a cheerful melody all year round. Perhaps best of all, a full-time caretaker lives in separate quarters on the property, providing full concierge service to guests of Rapid Creek. |
