Property Activities
This property is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful neighborhood. This home is located two blocks from Langosta Beach. A local supermarket and some of the best dining in Costa Rica is just steps away. Casa Maya is also just a 15 minute walk down the beach to the funky beach town of Tamarindo or just 5 minutes by car. While in Tamarindo, you’ll find shopping, wonderful little coffee shops, resturants and internet cafés, and of course the beach. The nightlife, if you choose to sample it, is famous for its mix of characters and is eclectic and lively. Tamarindo has a very international flair with some of the best dining in the area, with menus ranging from local to worldly. If you are looking for adventure, many activities await you. Snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, surfing, jet skiing for those who enjoy the water and ATVing, horseback riding, mountain biking, volcano tours, canopy tours for those who prefer to stay dry.
National parks, snorkel+scuba: Within easy driving distance there are several very popular Day Trips. You’ll need good walking or hiking shoes. Dink lots of water, pack insect repellent and perhaps most importantly, don’t overdo it! Remember heat and humidity can sneak up on you. SCUBA DIVING AND SNORKELING TRIPS An average of about 80 degrees Fahrenheit makes exploring the Gold Coast’s undersea universe a most delightful pursuit. With variable visibility ranging from 30% to an unmatched 100%, the area’s colorful and diverse marine life is offset by a network of cliffs, passages and tunnels.
Tours- Canopy, boat, toys: Canopy - Most Canopy tours are located inland, so you’ll need a car or the help of a tour company to get there. Hook up your harness and soar with the birds above the tree line. Do the superman, butterfly or stream across the forest upside down! Boat tours - Home to more than 300 migratory birds, white-face monkeys, howler monkeys, American crocodiles, and iguanas, a two hour river cruise through Palo Verde National Park should be on your “to do” list when visiting Cost Rica. Toys for Rent - Tamarindo offers a variety of alternate means of transportation. A credit card deposit and photo ID is required to rent any of the following: Jeeps, scooters, motorcycles, ATV’s, Kayaks, Snorkeling, surfboards, boogie boards, bicycles.
Restaurants, shopping and nightlife: RESTAURANTS To say Tamarindo has a great collection of fine restaurants is an understatement! And is one of its primary attractions. Whether you have a taste for traditional Costa Rican food or something with international flair, you will find it in Tamarindo. SHOPPING The Tamarindo Heights Garden Boutique Plaza, an exclusive high end commercial centre with a Pacific-Balinese style is open to the public since September, 2007. The amenities are designed to appeal to the discerning travellers that come to Tamarindo and include a high-end supermarket, pharmacy, full-service bank, fully equipped health fitness facility, several superb restaurants and other boutique shops. NIGHTLIFE The nightlife, if you choose to sample it, is famous for its mix of characters and is eclectic and lively. Bar-hoppers will not be disappointed - Tamarindo will keep those of you busy all night.
Renowned as a golfing hot spot, the Golf Coast possesses some of the world’s best courses in a magnificent natural setting.
