Property Information
Harbor Cottage is situated in Bass Harbor on a hill perched over the harbor with spectacular panoramic views overlooking the ocean, the harbor and the mountains. Sit on your deck surrounded by the sea and mountains, enjoying your cocktail as the sun sets with spectacular display and a windjammer sails majestically in and unfurls its sails and anchors in front of you.
Harbor Cottage is a luxurious getaway--perfect for a couple or small family. On the first floor there is a screened in porch overlooking the harbor and mountains. On the second floor there is a deck overlooking the ocean and harbor and another deck overlooking the harbor and mountains. The first floor has an open plan living area, dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, convection oven and microwave and a bathroom with a 2 person jacuzzi bathtub. The second floor has a large bedroom with a queen size Select Comfort bed and a bathroom.
There is a converted artist's studio situated next to the house that serves as a second bedroom with a queen Select Comfort bed. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. All linens are provided, down quilts on comfortable beds. charmingly furnished, immaculately clean. Phone, satellite TV and VCR/DVD are also provided.
Additional Rate Information
Rates are for 2 people. There is an additional charge of $20/day for each additional person up to a maximum of 4 people.
Vacation Rental Policies
| Payment Options: Checks and money orders in US currency only. |
| Check In: Saturday anytime after 4 PM. |
| Check Out: Saturday before 10 AM. |
| Required Stay: One week |
| Deposits: Deposit: 50% of total amount upon making reservation. Reservation will be held for 1 week while awaiting deposit. Balance is due 30 days before arrival. |
| Lodging Tax: 7% Maine State Lodging Tax is applicable on all rentals of less than 31 days |
| Cancellation Policy: Payment refunded in event of cancellation if rerented for entire period. Any additional cost needed to rerent will be deducted from payment. |
| Other Fees: Security Deposit: $200 for Harbor Cottage refunded the week after departure if all is left as found. |
| Other Policies: Smoking allowed on outside deck only. |
Other Availability
The second detached bedroom only has a space heater, so we do not rent it after the end of August.
