Great holiday getaway corcovado United States Review Submitted: February 24, 2010 Date of Stay: December 2009 Thanks, Doug. We just got home last night. Roxana and her husband were wonderful with everything (including meeting us at the scene of a fender bender we had in Paraiso on our way to the airport). No one got hurt, and we were able to get on another flight to our destination on the Osa Peninsula. What an adventure! All of the people involved in that unfortunate event were so kind--from the driver of the other car to the rental car agent, to the airline--all very accomodating--that's why we keep going back to Costa Rica! Roxana met us at the airport upon our arrival, and she and her husband guided us to your beautiful home, as we followed in our rental car. When we arrived at the house, the kids (9 and 11) were in heaven, as were my husband and I. We enjoyed incredible views as we sat on the porch overlooking the valley, while the kids explored in the yard and down at the gazebo. Ana made us very welcome and her cooking was delicious--especially the gallo pinto, plaintains and fruit for breakfast! We loved eating lunch down at the gazebo, surrounded by lush vegetation and a variety of interesting birds. Enjoyed exploring the area, horseback riding, hiking, and relaxing. Your house is beautiful, Thank you so much, and Happy New Year! The home had all that we needed and then some . . . the complimentary coffee and basket of fruit were most appreciated. The VIEWS, landscaping (wow on the flora and we can attest that the area is greener than Ireland), pool, climate, etc. could not be better. We also enjoyed breakfast on the deck with the birds each morning. Roxanna, Ana, Jose, and Pablo were great. We learned firsthand much about the harvesting and the process leading to our morning cup of coffee. We also got to see a lot of Costa Rica . . . Orosi loop, volcanoes Irazu, Turialba, and Poas, La Paz waterfalls, Tapanti National Park, just to name a few. These places and the drives to them provided us with incredible photo ops. On improvements, keep things just as they are. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an awesome vacation. Leaving it was the only tough thing to do! Thank you Connie & Doug for making this all possible. |
