The house sits just one lot away from the ocean and four blocks from Bethany’s town center — within steps of restaurants and specialty foods shops, boutiques, and ice cream parlors. Ideal for families and large groups, the house sleeps 19, with three kings, one queen, three singles, 2 sets of bunk beds, one full bed, and a den with a queen-size sleeper sofa. The large open-concept kitchen features an array of cookware and countertop appliances, two refrigerators and two ovens. Amenities include computer (Hi Spd Intenet and WIFI), five TVs with DVD players and a home theater center. A sensational setting and destination in itself, this home was named 2004 Rental House of the Year.

The beach is about 30 yards away from the house and there is off street parking for 6. And if you need it, here is metered parking all along the beach and board walk. There is also access to a large state park beach right up the road with plenty of parking. The park has life guard, showers, rest rooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals and the beach was replenished in the Fall of 2005 so it is very wide. We supply 2 Wonder Wheel Beach Caddies that holds Full 48 qt. Cooler and Up to 4 chairs, plus sturdy mesh bag storing tons of gear. You can buy food and drinks on the boardwalk which is near the house.
Day Trips about a half hour from Bethany: Rehoboth Beach: The town is much larger than Bethany and boasts many shopping and dining options. You can also go antiquing. There is also fabulous sales tax free outlet shopping at 140 Outlet stores. Lewes: Smaller than Rehoboth but a good day trip...very quaint with good antiques-you can catch the ferry for a day of shopping over at Cape May.
This would be the perfect house for a family, a group of golfers, reunions, wedding parties, showers, 'crafty ladies', small business retreats, or just for a quiet vacation. . You could lease this house for a weekend, week or a month, and enjoy every minute of the comfortable and beautiful surroundings provided in the furnishings, appointments and neighborhood
Adult church groups and other retreat groups are encouraged and have rented the house. Youth groups are not allowed to rent the house as this house and neighborhood are not appropriate locations for youth groups of teenagers and children.
Town of Bethany: The town of Bethany is an easy 5 minute walk from the house.. It is quaint beach town with about 3 blocks of stores and restaurants. The town has a good playground for children and a boardwalk where music will often be heard from the new bandstand.A few of our favorite restaurants include Bethany Beach BBQ , Baja Grille for great Mexican food, Parkway, Sonoma’s-in town.
