Le Mas Caraibes is a beautiful, newly renovated three bedroom, three bath home located in the exclusive Terres Basses community on the hillside on Morne Rouge. This French-side villa offers one of the most extraordinary views of the island, the lagoon and the sea from almost every room and from the expansive pool deck.
The home features a stunning, unique-to-the-island 20’ x 40’ pool constructed from Indonesian river pebbles and edged in stainless steel to reflect the sun and water. An artistic custom railing allows for perfect views and sits atop an elegant tropical hardwood deck outfitted with Indonesian teak chaises. The covered terrace spaces have been increased to allow for expanded outdoor living including a romantic private terrace off the master bedroom.
The entire interior is painted in lush decorative finishes and colors reminiscent of Moroccan homes and Tuscan farmhouses. The home’s furnishings are a mix of exotic furniture, fabrics, carpets and decorative pieces from the owner's travels throughout the world. Indonesian teak, painted furniture from Tibet, Thailand and China along with items from North Africa and the Middle East and carpets from Persian and Afghan give the villa an international yet tropical flare. Singapore-style fans and Moroccan mosque lamps decorate the ceilings. Arches throughout the home provide a unique architectural design.
The indoor living and dining areas completely open to the covered outdoor gallery through sliding glass doors that run almost the entire length of the villa and disappear into the walls. Covered outdoor living and dining allow for a relaxing and elegant environment in which to enjoy the expansive views.
All three bedrooms are very equal in size, each with their own private bathrooms with showers. All are air-conditioned. Two bedrooms open to the pool deck and the third has a private balcony. Two bedrooms are furnished with king size beds while the third has two twin beds. All are elegantly decorated with beautiful fabrics, fine linens, comfortable bedding and colorful details. The kitchen is colorful and fully equipped.
