We had a great time in Gulf Dunes 505. The views from the balcony were excellent, with both sunrise and sunset in our views. The condominium was clean and the customer service provided by Brooks and Shorey was superb! We will definitely be back to Gulf Dunes!

Overall stay was great. The unit itself had some minor damage on the walls. Also had one dining chair and one outdoor chair that was in need of repair but nothing that had to be fixed during the stay. Brooks and Shorey Management did offer to take care of it right away during the holiday weekend but it wasn’t urgent. They are always awesome to deal with. The master bedroom mattress probably needs replaced. The unit location was excellent and we had a great time.

Overall it was ok, we were unable to stream in the living room or bedroom as the tvs had no internet. The dishwasher is not secured to the countertop, when you open it it falls forward.

We loved our stay here. We loved how we were right on the beach, parking was very easy, easy access to the beach. Our unit was clean! The only suggestion I have is to maybe update the pool. But, other than that, we had a pleasant experience. The elevators worked well, too. We didn't have to wait too long for them.

This was a small unit but in a great location. You can walk out back to the beach or walk across the street to Stewby’s and an ice cream shop. The pool could have been bigger, it was 4.5 feet at the deepest. Overall we had a good stay.

Always enjoy Destin/Fort Walton Beach 2022-05-16

We always try to stay in Brooks and Shorey properties. There are lots to like about them, but a couple of things that I'll mention. First there wasn't a blender in the room which may not be a big thing to some folks, but it was for my wife. They took care of that quickly. All good. Second, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom did not work. There was a portable fan, so we used that. All good. The final thing was bothersome to me. The wifi did not work on the day before we left. That's not good. The wifi that we had all week was non-existent. I had business that I needed to finish up with before leaving and couldn't. I did use my hotspot, but that wasn't very reliable either. Don't get me wrong, we did enjoy ourselves on our trip and always do. Just wanted to point out a few things that might make the next family's vacation even better. Thanks.

Loved the condo but... 2022-03-15

We loved our condo! It was clean and neat, and looked newly painted. Absolutely no complaints about it at all. We Had a great view if the beach and gulf from the balcony. But our enjoyment of the balcony was marred by the smell of cigarette smoke. The people directly below us were smokers and spent a lot of time smoking on their balcony. I called Brooks and Shorey and was told that smoking on the balcony is permitted. We have stayed at Gulf Dunes several times and never had this problem before. I don't know if all the buildings on the beach allow smoking. But this is something to consider if smelling smoke bothers you as it does me.

We had a wonderful time at 505 Gulf Dunes. It was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed, the location is excellent, and the views can’t be beat. Brooks and Shorey were wonderful to work with......they even let us change our reservation to a different location when we found out the building of our original rental was going to be undergoing extensive maintenance during our stay. We would absolutely rent this unit again.

Our check in was delayed, but due to covid, it was understandable.
Pros. The condo was cute and the view was fabulous!
Cons. It would be nice if the code to your room and the code to the pool and beach were the same. The kitchen had too many various dishes and utensils. Nothing matched. My daughter stayed in the West building, and they constantly had issues with the code at the pool/beach not working.

We had a wonderful trip! The property was gorgeous and well maintained. The view of the beach is spectacular, on Wednesday night, the fire works show from the Boardwalk was so much fun. Many people also sat on the beach to watch. It was a short drive to Destin, so it was easy to get around. We stayed in the east building and the tent and chairs set up start in front of our building at 8 so get there early for a spot on our side of the property. We only used one excursion, wish I had scheduled it earlier to get the day/time that worked best for us. But it was still great fun on the Cattywampus. I loved how they called us prior to check in to make sure we knew how to get into the property and had all the information we needed, we really appreciated that. We will be back!

We always have a good time in Ft. Walton Beach and this was no exception. The washing machine was broken and that was inconvenient, but it didn't stop our fun.

This was our 1st time visiting Fort Walton and we can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The room was great it was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the view and the fact that the beach wasn’t crowded. We also loved that you could walk across the street to a restaurant and could walk a get ice cream every night. We will definitely be returning in the future!
