Make your escape to the beautiful Burnsville area, where Bear's Den awaits you. With rolling mountain views from the bubbling hot tub. Bears Den is composed of two 1-story homes, Papa Bear and Mama Bear, making it the perfect place for a multi-family or large group vacation!
Papa Bear is located on the upper level, and is the larger of the two properties. It features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for a total occupancy of 8 guests. Upon entry guests encounter the Game Room which leads into the living room, featuring modern furnishings, a flat screen TV, and a gas fireplace in a beautiful stone surround. The open floor plan features a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for making a home-cooked meal. Guests also have access to a full-sized pool table, great for shooting a game of 8 ball with friends.
Mama Bear, the smaller of the two properties is located on the lower level with a separate exterior entrance. Mama Bear features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom for a total occupancy of 4 guests. Like Papa Bear, Mama Bear offers a fully equipped kitchen which is great for multi-group visitors who are looking to prepare separate meals. Mama Bears living room also features modern furniture, a flatscreen TV, and an electric fireplace. Kick back on the private porch and you may spot turkey, deer, or even a bear with all of the wildlife activity in the area!
The separate shared laundry room is located on the lower level with access from Papa Bear from an inner staircase, access from Mama Bear is through the exterior door.

Bear's Den offers country seclusion with the convenience of shopping and dining options just eight minutes away in Burnsville, NC, where you'll find restaurants, galleries, several grocery stores, and an old-fashioned movie theater. Outdoor activities in the area are abundant, including whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and hiking trails. Other nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, Mount Mitchell State Park (highest US peak east of the Mississippi River), and gem mining in Little Switzerland. Mount Mitchells golf course, which is rated a "Top Ten" public course in North Carolina, is also a short drive away (32 minutes). This Asheville vacation rental is located in Burnsville and is approximately 35 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,820ft above sea level.

4WD/AWD Recommended in Winter
During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended to access this property. Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance (i.e. SUV, Truck, or raised sedan). Low-clearance vehicles with 4WD/AWD are not recommended. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there!
No Fires Allowed. Please note that outdoor fires are not permitted under any circumstances at this vacation rental. Please do not buy or bring a fire pit to the property, or attempt to build or use a fire ring or campfire. Please contact our office if you have any questions, and thank you for your understanding.
Travel Insurance is Recommended. Due to the location of this home, any inclement weather in winter may render it unreachable. We highly recommend guests consider travelers insurance for this property as there are no refunds for weather.

Property Cancellation Policy
Please note that this propertys Non-Refundable Period is 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking.
