At 7400 ft. elevation (about 1100 ft. above the Tahoe-Donner Club House), the Alta Vista chalet has stunning panoramic vistas. To the west, you overlook the Tahoe-Donner downhill ski area. To the north, east, and south you look above the Tahoe Donner resort into endless High Sierra mountain ranges. The Northstar ski slopes are prominent in your south-eastern views. You are close to the famous Tahoe-Donner cross-country ski facility. In less than a half-hour drive you will be at the world-class Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowel, or Northstar downhill ski resort. During the summer season, desirable Donner Lake with its numerous recreational facilities is just 10 minutes away. There are numerous spectacular hiking and biking trails and rock climbing possibilities nearby -- leave your car in the garage of "Alta Vista" and walk 1/4 mile to the trail head of the Donner Ridge trail system (OK for mountain biking)! In winter, put on your cross country skis or snow shoes at the door steps of Alta Vista, set your GPS, and discover miles and miles of high Sierra trails.

Regular Rates (for 2 people occupancy; add $25 for 3, $50 for 4, and $75 for 5-8 people occupancy):
$300 per night from December through March;
$225 during April, May, Sep, Oct, and Nov;
$275 during June, July, and August;
$250 for Thanksgiving holiday period;
$325 for winter holiday periods (Christmas/New Year's, President's Day weekend, M.L. King Day weekend);
$275 for summer holiday periods (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day weekends).
While this home comfortably allows up to 8 people occupancy, we extend a strong incentive to small parties.
There is a two-night rental minimum (3 or more nights at holiday weekends).
All rates are exclusive of applicable taxes. A non-refundable cleaning and sanitation fee of $70 and a refundable damage deposit of $500 are required for each rental.
Please note that the nonrefundable cleaning and sanitation fee covers "touch-up" cleaning and sanitation only. It is expected that you leave the home essentially in as clean a condition as in which you found it, including washing and replacing bedding linen and towels. If you wish to contract for linen and towel service and for cleaning service to be performed by our housekeepers, this must be arranged ahead of time, and during the busy season this may not be possible to arrange at all.
Passes to Tahoe-Donner recreational areas are available at the (nominal) rates paid by owners. Please inquire for details.

The Alta Vista home was built in 1998 and has approximately 1700 sq.ft. living area. The main level has two bedrooms (one with a Queen and one with two Twin beds), a bathroom, a hallway with an additional comfortable futon bed, a wrap-around deck, and a three-car garage. The family room with adjacent dining room and kitchen, as well as the extra-large master bedroom (with King bed, large window seat, and reading area), and large deck are on the upper level. A second master bedroom suite with a jacuzzi tub is on the lower level. The home features wall-to-wall carpets and vaulted ceilings. Large view windows, comfortable furniture, a (gas) fireplace, and decor will contribute to making your stay pleasant and memorable. The kitchen is large and well equipped with modern appliances. The extra-large deck area with gas-fired grill, and the privacy setting of Alta Vista will make your stay in this home especially pleasant. You simply feel at the top of the world. The Alta Vista chalet is ideal for all-season enjoyment.
The home features a sauna and an outside hot tub.
