Pool*, Children Welcome. Villa JAX is a beautiful villa located in Gouverneur, built by a noted North American custom home builder husband and wife team. The goal was to build a villa with large rooms and ALL the modern conveniences, but that was reminiscent of the French Colonial period. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the villa has two master bedrooms with custom built mahogany 4-poster king size beds and a third bedroom with twin beds. The villa is furnished and decorated with French antiques lovingly collected from around the world. Many are from France, but others are from the former French colonies in the Caribbean, Asia, Morocco, Senegal and Mali. There is even artwork from Timbuktu. There are Persian rugs in the living room and all bedrooms. Located in one of the quietest spots on the island, the villa is built on a single level and is easily accessible, even in a wheel chair as the owner found out when she broke her foot. Wonderful custom made sold mahogany doors, windows and cabinets, hand painted murals and superb decorating combine to give the villa a rich elegant appearance. Designed with a very large terra cotta terrace with large roof to assure that there is always plenty of shade to relax and enjoy the outdoor breezes. The villa even has a very private wooden deck with a Spa/Heated and outdoor shower that overlooks a garden of scented jasmine, gaiac trees and the Caribbean Sea. Rented on a limited basis, the beautiful lush gardens and pretty pool make this villa a perfect choice for those who want to get away from the rest of the world.

Dining Room - The dining area is apart of the living room. Antique wooden table & chairs seats 8 people. Second dining area located in a gazebo on the terrace.
Garden - Pretty gardens with an antique Moroccan fountain at the villa's entrance. Lush tropical plants and bougainvillea.
Kitchen - Barbecue Grill, Blender, Coffee Maker, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster Very large gourmet kitchen that is fully-equipped w/all amenities. Dark wood cabinets w/ granite work tops. Opens to terrace w/ocean view.
Living Room - Large comfortable living area w/ high ceiling & terracotta floors. Persian rugs/white sofas. French doors open to covered terrace and view.
Pool - Pretty pool area w/ beautiful gardens, steps leading into the pool. Several teak lounge chairs.
Terrace - Ceiling Fan Terracotta tiled terraces wrap around the villa. Covered terrace with fan, opens on to the pool with rattan furniture.
